'13 FL CB MacKensie Alexander (Clemson Verbal)

He is my favorite recruit this year because of the way he is handling recruiting.

I have tried to not care whether we land any particular recruit this year, and I have generally been successful. However, I've got my hopes up with Alexander.

He is going to be really, really good.

This is the cornerback that I really want. I have always thought we have had a pretty good chance with him. I also feel that he is just as good as Hargreaves. This is dreaming but it would be awesome to still get LJ and Alexander

I like that he talks with Alford so much and I still sit on my prediction that we get him when it's all said and done. But on the notion that he can pull someone else in, I have yet to see his name associated with any other recruit besides his brother, and that's not happening at ND.

It is great that he talks to Alford so much but I still don't feel this one falling to us. Mike's comments were to "certain" for me. Alford will break through with one of these elite FL corners eventually though, I certainly wouldn't mind if it was this one either.

That's what is crazy about our CB situation right now. Alford is the mack-daddy of recruiting, how in the hell have we gone this many cycles without getting a stud FL cornerback? That's exactly why I feel good about Mackensie... because those recruits cant keep passing on Notre Dame when Alford is the one knocking on their door.

Mackensie told Luke Stampini on 247 that ND is the school he hears from the most. He also could see himself getting immediate Playing Time at ND. Stampini says in his gut Clemson is the school to beat but as you know Alexander doesn't tip his hand.

I like hearing ND is staying is such close contact. From here on out, he's my number 1 want for this class.

I have a strong feeling he will be watching close on our DB's. I 100% believe, if he sees a sign of 2 DB's at a mediocre tandem, he is on board.

Personally, I think BJ might show more than we expect and he sees an open spot opposite. Sub time a frosh is great. He would understand that...

Yep. Howard with our coaching would have been sick. Would have took him over anybody last year.

I think Eli Woodward is one of the most overrated players in this entire class. Flat out slow... many better CBs in 7on competition this summer. He went to a lot of camps, had good performances.... definite high 4.... but nowhere near the top 20 overall player some services rank him as. VHIII, Alexander, Fuller, and Ramsey are all considerably better in my book.

But what the hell do I know? Your opinion is just as good as mine.

lol at Eli Woodard being better than Alexander. Tracy Howard can play but I think both these guys are better its real close (he is running with the 1's at Miami already). Tracy gave a silent to Florida 2 weeks before singing day. The problem is he made a visit to Miami the next week and we see where he ended up.

I lurked this board last recruiting cycle and I remember people thinking Brian Poole would flip never got any indication of that from Florida's side. Btw he is running with the safeties right now because the CB talent is so deep he would not break the 2 deep.


It seems as though Jalen Ramsey is the guy Florida really wants to add in this class. Probably because he isnt all over the place like MA.

I think Fuller is good but overrated if he had a different last name and went to a different school no way he would be rated that high (rivals). Imagine throwing against Fuller and Diggs last year though.

Maurice Smith is going to do very well in Alabama's scheme
Shag Wiggins is not biggest or fastest kid but he can flat out cover.

This is such a deep class of DB's. I don't think I can remember a year where so many kids top rated kids that are being recruited as corner actually playing corner at the high school level.

So do 20 other schools from USC to Florida. I just don't get how they reel in so many big-time recruits from out of state. It's not like they ever actually win much.
