'13 FL CB Vernon Hargreaves III (Florida Verbal)

If we got VH3 I would almost be happy with this class the way it stands even if we didn't get another player. The only other real need is a third WR. Sure, we could also use a true CAT like Drennon, an RB, maybe a DT/big DE like Kona, but I think those are really luxuries in this class that can be addressed next year if necessary.

But the greatest need is a lock-down corner. VH3, come on down!

If I remember correctly, wasn't Rochell not even sure he was going to consider ND, and once he got on campus, met with the coaches, etc., he fell in love? I feel like that happens all the time for ND. It's such a hidden gem aspect of the team's recruiting. Almost all of us have experienced that feeling when you get on the campus... it's just something else. You know it's special.

When you combine that potential effect, the fact that he'll be there presumably without any other recruits so the coaches will be focused entirely on him, Jaylon Smith's efforts, the ridiculous IrishMob13 as it stands already, and the fact that he can be on the field FROM DAY ONE... there's a lot going for us here. Hopefully Vernon sees the light.

Screw the apartment complex. Put up the sign and only take it down after they tell you to. When that happens put one sign on each side of your car and drive up and down in front of his house and school. LOL

Great players can recruit other great players....sometimes, it's more effective than a coach or university.

Let's hope Jaylon is on campus for that visit.


Here's to hopin! This is the "can't miss" CB that I've been waiting for to keep our D elite for years to come.

If he's considering USC, this is not an advantage for ND.

I was thinking that yesterday after reading about Anzalone recognizing how many ND committs made it to SB for his visit, while none were at UF when he visited there. This class recruits for itself like no other class I have ever heard of.

Yeah, it sounded from one article like it made an impact to Alex and showed him how much he was wanted when committed recruits showed up, and was almost a negative when others didnt show up. Jaylon Smith will go with Hargreaves, I believe... I would love to have all the committed players come up + Alexander and Hargreaves on the same weekend. That'd be huge. But Alexander won't get up in time. Oh well, maybe they'll be on the same OV

It could be an inside joke between the two of them. This is a problem with trying to interpret twitter, facebook, text messaging, etc; body language makes up a huge part of a conversation. How somebody says something is more important then what the actual words are.

Better to not try and guess.

Again, I hope this was in jest and an inside joke that we don't get, but if not.... then I would prefer us to not add kids that are already prima donna's before they even step onto the football field. Regardless of talent.

But again, that's the problem with twitter (or the written word in general), you cant read someone's intent or tone. It very well all may be innocent jabbing.

My opinion of our chances with VH has nothing to do with the twitter exchange.

I think we have very little chance at VH and maybe a 25% chance at Alexander. I feel better about Alexander since he took an extended visit which was his only visit out of Florida. In the end I suspect Alexander will ultimately stay in the south somewhere. Those that think we have a legitimate shot at getting both of them to commit, need to put down whatever they are smoking.
