i'm jus gonna turn on the red sox game and have the laptop on and relax
Is the Opening shown live at 8 pm or will we already know of Anzalone's decision before it's shown on tv?
I'm optimistic as well but I feel that someone needs to say it:
If we don't get him the meltdown will be nuclear around here. I'm a little afraid.

I don't know...obviously there's no right or wrong answer here, but if I were coach I'd be afraid that these type of discussions, once generally known, would hinder 2's and 3's from pushing themselves.
As unrealistic as it always sounds, I've always believed that the best "team" was always one where every single player believed there was some remote chance of playing, if they just worked/played well enough. But obviously I'm not a coach, so it may well be that being able to oversign recruits outweighs this team dynamic.
no it won't. It wasn't until recently that we even thought we had a chance with him. Plus we only need one more LB in this class with plenty left on the board. Will it suck if we lose him? Yup. But if there is a meltdown its totally unwarranted.
This is taped I believe, so shouldnt Alex be announcing his decision soon (like possibly now, unless his team wins). Although, we probably wont hear it because no one knew the announcements from yesterday until they happened last night on TV. I guess they keep it pretty secret.

You do it during the exit meetings with all returning players at the end of the season, on an individual basis. You're oalways going to have a bottom 4 or 5 on the roster. Discuss it with them at that time. You tell each of them that if they choose to transfer, the staff will help them find a place to transfer to.
You will always have a couple who decide to stay anyway and a couple who will move on. There is nothing wrong with this imho. Bob Knight did it every year and was as queaky clean as it gets.
I can't find it, so sorry if it's already been posted. What was his forty time?
Anytime between 8-10 ET
