Wiltfong is undecided. He said it can go either way. Sapp is on vacation I believe so nothing from him yet.

I don't mean to tick anyone off so please don't take any offense, but as Alex is to announce anytime in the next day or so, can we go back to just news on him as I know there are people looking anytime its bumped. You guys all present way more knowledge on these subjects than myself and I look forward to posts from you guys for all I learn about subjects, but Alex's time is at hand

Thrilled to hear he is rooming with Butler. Might mean nothing, but might mean something. I mean, going back to the room after the announcement might be kinda awkward if AA doesn't pick ND.

Interesting that he considers his coverage skills his best attribute. Honestly, I always thought so too based on what I had heard, and that's why I always thought of him as a WILL. It's always surprised me that, according to Sapp, the staff thinks of him as a MIKE. Not that the MIKE doesn't have to drop into coverage too, but you know what I mean.

Thought that was interesting too. Seems the staff wanted to make sure they got a MIKE, if Anzalone were to choose Irish, I think Deeb is a better fit for MIKE and AA would play WILL.

IMO, that's a great point. I would like to think that Alex would've taken that into consideration given that potential situation.

Maybe, but in his film Deeb makes some great pass-defense plays. That might be a tough decision to make.

Anzalone is definitely a prototypical WILL or DOG because of his ability in coverage. If Anzalone commits, 3/4 prospects will have great ability in coverage... which is a far cry from last year where practically 0 LBs on the field were capable of making an interception and some more than others struggled mightily at dropping in coverage.

this... 1000x. My only concern downt he road (assuming these guys blossom), is that O's will then start to pick on the DBs long. Hope to hell we can solve for the DB situation, if we can, what a F---ing stout D we would have.

If that is true, I disagree with that notion. What reason would you go play D1 football if you won't be able to compete for bowl games, title, etc? I understand academics at PSU are comparable but that is exactly why that is silly thinking. It's not like you are sacrificing football accolades for a degree from Harvard, Yale, Cornell, etc.

Again, just my thinking.

This is like the lowest success rate play in college football so if that is what a offense has to do to beat us then good.
