This would be a pretty big get in my opinion. Consensus :s::s::s::s: 6'3" and good weight. But it sounds like O$U maybe the direction he is leading for what you guys are saying.

Depends on if Urban wants him or not

Committed to UW at their camp.

Along w/ Daeshon Hall, Lavon Coleman, Elijah Qualls, Andrew Basham, Caleb Tucker and Poasi Moala.

Sark, Tosh, & company sure know how to recruit. Washington moved from 40 to 12 in the 247 rankings.

Also a heads up LJ Moore was there

Yup. Sarkisian and Lupoi make a formidable duo recruiting wise.

edit: Just saw the record, and Sarkisian has a 19-19 record after 3 years. Not sure he is that good a coach...

As long as the checks clear, Tosh is the best recruiter in the country.

Who was that coach? I forgot his name? Nevermind. I don't want to remember.

Sark is a great coach and building something fantastic over at U Dub. As an ND fan, I hope they do well so they can knock off USC every chance they get.

I agree with the part about his being a good coach and building something borderline miraculous there considering where the program was just a few years ago. Definitely will be fun to see how they fare in the PAC in the coming years, could be one of the top three-four programs there very soon.

I've also found myself rooting for them against most of their competition, but I've recently been thinking about how ND recruits, and to recruit successfully nationally, you definitely need some down programs that are the typical "state school" that kids in the area would have at the top of their lists before the recruiting process even started for them. In 2008-2009, ND played three Washington teams (Washington twice and Washington State once) and won all three games. I definitely think some of the verbals from Washington that we've gotten (Russell and now Mattingly) have seen these games. If Washington's good maybe we don't get some of these verbals (yes I understand Mattingly's circumstances and where his family is originally from).

Now, I know that Washington isn't the most talent-***** state and that a down USC would help ND recruiting much more than a down Washington because of the plethora of elite recruits in the the SoCal area, but I just want to point out that I think the way ND has approached recruiting specifically in the case of the state of Washington has been a textbook success (scheduling games against the most popular teams in the area--teams that at the time were down--, winning those games, and then getting in on the top talent to come through there. I think this approach would start a pseudo-pipeline that would give ND a shot with future recruits there even if the state schools are on an upswing (as I believe both the Washington schools are with Sark and Leach).

I can definitely see the same thing happening here in the northeast soon -- keeping a weak BC on the schedule as well as UMass and UConn (though that UConn loss obviously hurt). I'm sure that this approach is one of the primary reasons that ND was so appealing to Montelus.

Per TV he still wants to take a Official to ND but would need to get his grades up if he wants ND to be a option.
