Michael, a chara,

Welcome aboard! Go n-éirí an bóthar leat! I like the way so many balls pop out of running backs hands and seeing running backs propelled at odd angles; you should be called: Ollphéist ollmhór i lár!

Beir bua agus beannacht,

Bogtrotter

The first reaction to the clip is always going to be emotional, but when you take it all in and realize it's one rep from one drill and not in your normal position it's not a big deal. He showed the difference between someone who can cut it at ND and one who only thinks of himself. Like it was previously stated. He'll probably file that away and just wait for the opportunity to return the favor sometime in the future in a legit game.

Welcome to the Irish family!

From Keith Arnold: Linebacker Michael Deeb Commits to the Irish.

“The visit was great,” Deeb told Rivals.com. “Just the fact that you walk in and the facilities and players’ apparel is incredible. All of the stuff at the school is great, but every Division I school is going to have that. What set them apart was meeting with the business school advisors, which is what I want to major in, as well as the academic advisors, I knew that was the place for me. Also, the faith aspect with visiting the church, and some of the mentors and priest. It is just a special place in that I think it offers a lot more than just football.”

I've got to be totally honest here lads, the way he handled himself after that stupid gator chomp shows me more than if he got into some stupid shoving match. On to the next play, no big deal. Welcome aboard Michael, I really like this kids demeanor and toughness.

Agreed. Kid is going to be a great leader and ambassador for ND. I know this is said almost every year but this class really seems like a bunch of great young men with a good head on their shoulders.

This is supposed to be Michael's day. Instead we are talking about a kid that is a Florida commit. SMH

Great to have you as part of ND Michael!

This kid is going to be a real steal from the state of Fla.
I've read some calling him Carlo 2.0 that IMO is an injustice....
Deeb has some real burst/quickness sideline to sideline.
Welcome young Mr. Deeb

Another stellar pick-up for us! Very excited for this LB'er class, and one rep aside I think I'd rather have this kid than one with a little less class. Deeb will be another great one for us!

Wiltfong said

Very good against the run
Spring evaluation period was big for him as he was kind of under the radar prior to that
Thinks Michael would play Mike and Alex would play Will

None of this matters until Mike officially rocks the Golden helmet....

Is everyone on this board cycling together? Jesus Christ ladies....

As for Deeb I think he has good potential at MIKE. If you look at our recruits...

Jaylon DOG WILL CAT
Mattingly DOG WILL
Deeb MIKE
Anzalone WILL MIKE DOG

If we hopefully land Anzalone you'd be looking a really solid group with a lot of flexibility... all we would need is an elite CAT prospect and it'd be an incredibly solid LB core. Deeb to me is a lot like Carlo; and Carlo sure as hell is not a fit at WILL. Could've been a really good MIKE in a world that didn't have Manti Te'o.

Another point of note, this once again proves our staff doesn't really give a crap about height for ILBs if they're the right guy. This was obvious when they offered James Ross last year and is still true. I hope this puts that myth to rest... they look for "fit" in general but do not have a hard and fast rule on height.
