No loss for us ive seen him play he isnt that good my high school beat his 62-0 last year he went on to try and fight the whole team by himself.

I have also heard and seen his coaches pull him from games for yelling at coaches on the sidelines

ESPN just ranked him as a three star and the 29th best quarterback in this class... and he's not even the top QB from Kentucky on their list. Why the huge disparity between that and other sites? I remember Golden Tate being a three star on rivals but ESPN put him as the 11th ranked prospect in the country.

Amen!

Though I would have like to see Lynch, Tuitt, Shepard, and Darby shut him down in Ann Arbor. Perhaps they'll get a chance in a different venue in the second week in January in a couple of years.

So depressing...

Freshman quarterback Zeke Pike will not be with the Auburn football team when fall practice starts today and his future with the Tigers is unclear.

Pike was sent home by coach Gene Chizik in the summer after being arrested for public intoxication.

Two weeks ago, Chizik said he was evaluating whether he'd let Pike return: "We have certain standards and expectations of our guys. That's why I sent him home.

No way it's only public intox that got him kicked off the team.

Public intox is grounds for dismissing a player????? Bwahahahahahahahahaha..... What? When did the SEC start being known as the Suddenly. Ethical. Conference. There has to be more to this.

Wild guess.... Chizik didn't see Pike helping the team, and this was a handy way to get him out of there for another scholarship spot.

Wow..., really surprised by this news. There is no way he was kicked off the team based solely on this public intox charge. I am sure there is much more to this story.

He's been killing it at camps all summer and could be the #1 QB in 2012 when the rankings come out. Not only did he really impress the ND coaches who told him he was the best QB at their camp, he also tore it up at Auburn and Alabama, earning offers from both schools. FL looks to be the next school to offer. I'm surprised that ND hasn't offered yet. Early indications are that Auburn is his early leader.

This is what I wrote almost exactly two years ago about him. Now, forgetting how stupid I look now, I can't believe that a guy who could go to camps at Auburn and Alabama and look so good that they offered him scholarships on the spot to be their franchise QB (yes, franchise - it's the SEC), and just two years later, before ever entering a fall camp on a depth chart, he's now a friggin' tight end.

Wow.

I don't know if you can call yourself stupid, at the time he was tearing it up.

It is pretty astounding that he is switching to TE though!

One-time Auburn signee Zeke Pike dismissed at Murray State after arrest | AL.com

According to the Paducah (Ky.) Sun's Edward Marlowe, Pike was arrested Sunday on charges of possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, operating a motor vehicle under the influence, disregarding a stop sign, failure to signal, resisting arrest, second-degree escape and open container.

(UPDATE, 3:55 p.m.: According to the Calloway County Sheriff's Department report, Pike was tasered after escaping custody while being escorted to a blood test, which he later refused.)

He had a freshman girlfriend at Louisville who died from an overdose. Safe to say the guy's life isn't turning out as planned

I wish I would have been around for this recruitment lol. I could have dropped knowledge bombs on what a creep and how overrated he was from the start.

When I was a senior playing in a game against his high school, he was a freshman playing DE with the varsity squad, so I got to block him a few times early in the game. He was young, but he was already pretty damn good. He should've played DE in college, and was always massively overrated as a QB. I have no idea what he did at the Bama, Tennessee and Auburn camps to earn offers and jump up the rankings, but it was completely out of nowhere as far as everyone in Northern Kentucky was concerned.

I also worked with a guy that coached him when he was senior. Every week, he had a new story about this kid, and told me from the start that ND had no chance at landing him, even if they went all-in, because the kid's grandpa wouldn't allow it lol.
