Anybody know how Deeb's commitment could change Anzalone's timeline?

With Jaylon/Mattingly/Deeb how many more would we take? (1-2?) Of course Mattingly could be a TE prospect (then we would hav 2 TE's in the class though- not even counting Robinson (potentially)).

Robinson wont be a TE. Mattingly will be a OLB. Anzalone and Deeb might both play inside so doesn't change anything.

Anzalone is the one we want to fill the other spot. Everyone else is on board with the plan. He needs to jump on board as well.

Mattingly CAT, Jaylon DOG, I like Deeb at MIKE and Anzalone at WILL but whichever way, I don't care.

Maybe I am overthinking this, but how does one get accepted into an MBA program without having a single undergraduate credit or without taking the GMAT first?

Especially considering they only take 12 kids. I would call BS on that move.

He is actually very advanced and might already have credits. USC was even selling to him that he could skip his whole senior year of high school and start taking classes their this summer. I also think it is a blended BS/MBA program. Like you get both at the same time, somehow. I dunno. It's confusing.

Regardless of that, no respectable MBA program is going to admit a kid that doesn't have the necessary college credits. He also hasn't taken the GMAT. If this program is really that localized where they only admit 12 students a year, I doubt that they are admitting high school seniors.

Does anyone know what the name of this program is? When I look at PSU's MBA program (Smeal College of Business) it says that it admits over 150 students and certainly doesn't admit high school seniors. If someone knows what the program is I will be happy to look up the pre-requisites for it.

They only take 5 kids.

What's the program called. I cannot find any mention of it on their website. Smeal College of Business MBA programs all admit over a hundred kids a year, none of which even consider high school seniors.

Finally found the quote from 247 several months back.

"I think I'm going to wait until the summer to take some visits," he said. "I may go up to Penn State for a weekend because it's so close. They're trying to get me into the BS/MBA program, I think only 12 people get in it every year. My SAT scores are really close to the requirement to get in. They're just trying to get me into that program, which would be good. Other than that, I just want to enjoy the school year."

Yes Zayd Issah. But Zayds is getting recruited as an athlete. So it probably wont affect Anzalone.

Mike Farrell is saying O'Brien is loading up on versatile athletic types at LB with the commitment of Zayd.

He also said he would take Deeb over Zayd stating more physical/stronger/meaner

Zayd I think should play WR he can jump and out leap people. But im not a coach so I dont know. Not going to argue with you cause I know Zayd personally. But im happy with Deeb.

Students with the following qualifications will be considered for admission to the Science BS/MBA Program:

Admission Requirements
Main ContentStudents with the following qualifications will be considered for admission to the Science BS/MBA Program:

•successful applicants typically will have an SAT score of at least 1950;
•a rank in the highest 10 percent of their high school class; and
•an ability to communicate effectively, an advanced level of maturity, and high motivation to pursue a joint science/business educational program.
Applicants’ secondary education must have included four units of English, one and one-half units of algebra, one unit of plane geometry, one-half unit of trigonometry, three units of science, and five units from arts, humanities, social studies, and/or foreign languages.

Program admission decisions are made jointly by the Eberly College of Science and the Smeal College of Business. The decision to extend an invitation to join the program will be reached by a three-step process. First, applicants meeting the criteria are included in the initial application review. From that review, a limited number of top candidates are selected for on-campus interviews with representatives of the Eberly College of Science and the Smeal College of Business. Approximately 12 offers of admission to the program will be made each year.

A blended BS/MBA program may not really be that rare. I've heard of such things for medical school. In fact I know someone who about ten years ago was admitted to Miami University for undergrad with guaranteed admission to University of Cincinnati medical school (assuming she kept her grades up and met certain minimum requirements, I think). It wouldn't shock me to learn that PSU or other universities have similar programs for their business schools, but I guess its weird that there is no info on it on the website.

Also, it's slightly different from being admitted right out of high school, but many universities also have "early assurance" programs, which allow you after your sophomore year of college to apply to that university's law or medical school. I know, for instance, Georgetown's law early assurance program does not require the LSAT.

Am I the only one that read this kinda fishy?

I read has Alex doesn't fit the requirements but they are still trying to get him in.

maybe im just hoping he's Irish too much, probably just poor wording/over analyzing by me....

Doesn't ND even have a 5-year BS in engineering/MBA program? I seem to remember hearing of that, but I'm not sure if you apply right of high school or after a year or two of college.

So when you graduate from this program, is your degree simply a MBA from the Smeal college of business?

If so, that's not that great of an accomplishment. They may only admit 12 kids for the BS/MBA program, but if the degree ends up being nothing more than an MBA from PSU, then it's really not that big of a deal.

Am I missing something?

GREAT point. I have been wondering throughout this process why he is so focused on getting an MBA in the shortest amount of time possible. How does he know he even needs one? If you are missing something then I am missing it too.
