Here's an Observer article on D-Season.

Slaughter has enjoyed success both as a rapper and a ND DB. Peppers might connect with him.

Thanks for the link. Definitely interesting. I bet he would love to see there are like minded people at ND...... I will have to run this by him sooner rather than later.

How would you recommend going about this? Should I contact Slaughter or should I tell Jabrill to try and talk to Slaughter. My job with Chatsports also has me connected to Shumate, So I suppose I could ask Shumate get those two to talk. I think this would go over really well with Jabrill...

Hard to say. Any direct communication with Peppers would probably be a secondary violation. If you have a pre-existing relationship with him, you might discreetly mention D-Season/ Slaughter, but it's probably safer to let current players do this sort of thing. They have better access to the Compliance Office and it will mean more coming from them.

I was going to say, I don't want to come anywhere near a violation. I think talking to Shumate would be the best way of doing it, that way no violation could be construed.

Would like to know this as well.

LSU was the school that he first seemed connected with. Have also heard Alabama. South Carolina offered him first, so I expect they'll be in contention. Obviously, a long way to go and nothing concrete, just have a hunch he'll play for some SEC powerhouse.

@JabrillPeppers: Went from 5'11 190 running a 4.48 to 6'1 205 4.34 ... I'm breaking skulls this year.

Proceed with the "WANT" pictures.

it amazes me how all these HS kids run in the 4.3s but in the NFL combine 4.3 was a rarity. hhhhmmmmm

Don't want to bump this thread and get people too excited but look at this video of him rapping Freestyle "J-reall" - YouTube. Not really my taste though around the 3 minute mark you'd think he already started Longo's weight program. Some actual information on Jabrill...

I have a few friends at PC and they said the main reason he left Don Bosco was he was tired of coach Toal. Thought he got everything he could get out of Don Bosco and didn't really like the school. Teachers and administration. He knew that he had made a big enough name for himself that he'd get college attention no matter where.

Our mutual friends also think he is not so likely to go to the SEC. Notre Dame is a really big player, as is Michigan, USC and Stanford. Ohio State was big for him, because a lot of his friends growing up thought Ohio State was swag, though hes not crazy about Urban Meyer. Apparently Meyer spoke to him and Jabrill wasn't overly thrilled or moved.

Michigan is clear leader but he almost likes idea of playing at ND and going into his childhood favorite's stadium and beating them.

Its too early to tell but my guess would be he will wait until NSD to decide or an All American game. He wants to make the best decision for himself and wants to get to know the football staff. Thats going to be very important, probably more so than anything. He wants to be an NFL player and a rapper. Fancies himself an entrepreneur.

I would love to see him be Irish.

@JabrillPeppers: In all Honesty. Transferring from that School was no doubt the best decision of my life! I am ashamed I once called those guys my brothers!!

Conventional wisdom has been that Shumate may help us with Peppers. Maybe not?

I was thinking the exact same thing. He seems like a pretty decent kid and god only knows he is super talented. I wonder what happened at Bosco that upset him so much?
