Actually, it's just recently been posted that Manti Teo is our greatest coup in the last two decades on defense.
Lynch should be an honorable mention: but he gone.
Jaylon is special too. Manti Teo-ish special in terms of elite ready to play ability.
This from 247.
Hey Johnny, my main manortwo!
What I said was (was speaking to was) combination of character and athletic ability. Thinking about it and watching Jaylon's comittment again, I can only imagine the lunch between Smith and T'eo. I think that as far as coups, that may be right, simply because T'eo and Lynch were more likely to go somewhere else. You are right! My comment was about quality of individuals, more of a what they "have done/will do" for the program.
I cannot compair two "right" guys: Manti and Jaylon, have a spiritual and character character side that makes them unique. If I would compare them athletically, the only thing I would say is that Jaylon can play more positions, is a bit taller, a bit faster and would ride the bench behind Manti at ISLB. Physically, how do you compare a tsunami to a twister?
Looking at the three, I am thinking of the one that is different, tangebly and intangibly. Lynch is not capable of doing the broad range of athletic movements that the other two are. Period. He is taller but slower. And his beastly genius is related to rushing the passer. Only.
Lynch is not qualified to be on the character or spirituality list with either. Or anybody? He is here and now and does not make any of my lists other than pass rush where he comes in about 19th, behind Jungle Jim Martin, may move to 20 because in the long run, I think Jaylon will end up a better pass rusher also!
