Calvin Johnson doesn't play for the Cardinals.

I thought he was great when he played here, but Clausen is horrendous at the pro level. I definitely wouldn't trade for him.

While Megatron may be the best catcher in the NFL, there is more to playing WR than strickly catching the football. I would rank Fitz and Andre Johnson still ahead of Calvin Johnson right now on route running, blocking, and just being clutch. Just my opinion though.

I see where you're coming from. I'm just biased. I like the Lions and get to see Megatron play every week and jump sixty-eight feet in the air in triple coverage and pull down a pass with two fingers and

In other news, Michael will be wearing #15 in the pros.

ESPN NFL Best and worst draft marriages

The best

1. Michael Floyd, WR, Arizona: Justin Blackmon may have been the best receiver prospect in this class, but Floyd is bigger, faster and now fortunate enough to be lining up in the same offense that features six-time Pro Bowl receiver Larry Fitzgerald. Even better, the two players already have forged a strong relationship. They both grew up in Minnesota and Fitzgerald has mentored Floyd, an All-American from Notre Dame, since Floyd was a high school star in St. Paul.

Because they're both about the same size -- Floyd is 6-foot-3 and 220 pounds while Fitzgerald is 6-foot-3 and 218 -- it's also hard to imagine many defenses with two cornerbacks who can match up with this physical WR duo. At this point, the Cardinals need not worry so much about whether Kevin Kolb or John Skelton is their starter next season. Whoever goes under center will have a much easier time throwing the football from now on.

Wouldn't say that quite yet, only got 1 chance with a horrendous o-line, injury plagued RB I believe and only 1 good reciever whom didn't want to play

Cam got a offense suited for him, shockey, a improved oline and a happy Steve smith

If Floyd's friendship with Larry Fitz has been going on since high school and he has been mentoring him, why is this the first that I'm hearing about it?

I would trade for him in a heartbeat.

He played on the worst team in the league with the worst OL in years. Of course he was going to suck.

Not to mention was still recovering from Turf Toe, that more than likely should have kept him sidelined for the entire year.

With the Cardinals current offense, I would love to see Quinn or Clausen get another shot at being the starter. Both were GREAT college QBs and both have plenty of talent to succeed at the Pro level, the Browns were not any better for Quinn than the Panthers were for Clausen. Seriously, the QB for the Cardinals need only throw the ball deep and someone in a red jersey will catch it.

I would think Clausen would do very well in Arizona. Quinn is not going anywhere for the time being. He is going to try and steal Matt Cassel's job in KC. Clausen could probably be had for pretty cheap though.

I am pretty excited for BQ in KC! Might have to attend a few extra games if he gets the job.

I'm rooting for Quinn, but he doesn't have the skills that Clausen has.

If Clausen can get into a happy-happy offense with a good running game, his accuracy should take care of the rest. Arizona has two stud WR's, and Beanie Wells has emerged as a good NFL back. He would do well in Arizona, very well.

I'm a Browns/Packers guy, and the Packers are set at QB for the next decade. If the Browns were to trade a 2013 4th round pick for Clausen...I wouldn't be angry about it.

For not having "breakaway speed", he sure looked like the fastest guy on the field a lot. Throwing in his outstanding blocking, and he will REALLY be missed. I just wish he had a better QB the past few years.

“He gave me a big hug,” says Johnson, who has trained Floyd in his hometown of St. Paul, Minn., dating back to the end of Floyd’s high school days.
“He said, ‘You were the one. You planted that seed and you let me know that was real. I just want to thank you for it and I love you.’ I didn’t even know what to say.”
But Johnson is even more excited about accepting Floyd’s invitation to the University of Notre Dame’s commencement ceremony this weekend.
“I could care less about football as much as I care that Mike graduated from Notre Dame in three and a half years,” says Johnson, the owner of Performance Athletix.

You guys think if Tate had stayed for his senior year so Kelly could actually teach him how to run routes, that he would have been a first round choice? I like Weis, but his WRs didn't know how to run any route tree.

Yes. No doubt in my mind.

The thought of Jimmy Clausen and Golden Tate in this offense can melt one's brain.

It'd have been a ten-win team and a BCS berth. It's tough to say that the defense would have had that famous late-season rise, but the team would have been excellent.
