Any chance Algeria comes roaring back for the win. I have not been watching.

Me neither. I'm keeping an eye on the other game, but two games plus work is proving to be too much. Goddamn simultaneous game format.

I am the company a-hole today because I just scheduled a bunch of field work early on Tuesday so I can finish before the game comes on. I told them it was gonna be real hot so we need to finish our 8 hours by noon. They don't have a clue. LOL.

Worthless toady too.

Just saw the Portugal goals for the first time. Those were two of the shittiest goals u can get haha (just like in the US - Portugal game w/ Nani).

That makes me angry we drew against them. They are a sorry WC team. Always have been. I don't know what to make of it because they have such great club players.

In fairness this generation that is now leaving has been pretty solid... four years ago they got the the knockouts and lost a tough game and eight years ago they won every game they played until they lost in the semis...

Both Portugal goals were complete gifts. That is unbelievable. What the hell was the keeper thinking on the second one.

Seeing the Muller goal again, that was a bit lucky too. Certainly we were a bit lucky Germany didn't score more goals, but they were a bit lucky we didn't score any, too. That Zusi shot just barely missed. Then there were the two late chances in stoppage time. That game could easily have gone the other way.

I was disappointed we lost at first, but there was a lot to be proud of there.

Belgium v South Korea are 0-0 at half w/ Belgium at 10 men
Russia v Algeria are 1-0 at half.

A Belgium loss and Algeria win results in USA vs Algeria. Could definitely happen.

Now any draw will be a difficult game... but...

I honestly think we COULD beat Belgium...

I honestly think we SHOULD beat Algeria...

Let's go Algeria.

Belgium will have to lose, and Algeria will have to rally 2 goals for a win to make that happen.

I'm not so sure Algeria isn't more explosive and dangerous.

We can definitely beat Belgium.

Belgium is gonna be sick in 2018 though. So much young talent.

Agreed on both counts.

These young guns for Belgium just need a little seasoning. They are brilliant at times.

My thoughts on Belgium is that while they are not one of the top favorites, they are definitely in the group of teams that realistically can win the whole thing if things fall right for them.

This Korean team just cannot score! I think our boys will do well. Granted they are one man down but the Korean teams pace is giving Belgium all sorts of trouble.

They are laughably bad in the attacking third. Or at least look it today.

Soccer sucks. It's not ours. Leave it to the Europeans and Brasil. Let's play a World Cup in American football and see how that shit goes lol...would look like the Nazis rolling through Poland circa 1939

Well no one else on Earth really plays American Football so we might as well challenge the world at a game of Quidditch.

I've been home for five minutes and I must say Belgium has a lot of talent in the stands.

Can anyone help me here? So by making it to the knockouts the USMNT is taking home at least 9 mil total from this thing... Let's just say we lose to Belgium, where exactly does that money go? Does the Foundation use it for future expenses; do the players get any of that? How does the money aspect work here? I've never seen that explained.

We have the advantage in experience. Van Buyten is the only Belgian who has ever played in a knockout game in a major senior national team tournament. We have a coach who is a champion and a bunch of players who played in the round of 16 four years ago, as well as Confederations Cup and Gold Cup experience.
