i think the badgers can be an 8-4 or even a 9-3 type team if that QB stays healthy because he can run and they are big and physical on both lines
Yep. Their defense is good and if they figure out a little more on offense, they're 8-4/9-3 and a fringe top 25 team.i think the badgers can be an 8-4 or even a 9-3 type team if that QB stays healthy because he can run and they are big and physical on both lines
9-3 is a stretch but would love to see it b/c their schedule is manageable. Most ND fans here & on social media underestimated Wiscy. It’s evident by all the fans freaking out on X as recent as 1H ago. Go back and look at this opening week’s matchups. Plenty of games were close at the half yet favorite ended up winning comfortably. Happens every year. I was surprised how many national pundits were echoing similar sentiments. Openers are so tough to predict unless it’s truly a tomato can (unless you’re scUM). I recall hearing all week that Haywood & the RG could both be out. Then I even heard Wiscy media saying they’d be shocked if both played. I believe both played the entire game. I feel for beat writers b/c they have limited access & fans take it as gospel.i think the badgers can be an 8-4 or even a 9-3 type team if that QB stays healthy because he can run and they are big and physical on both lines
Oh a forgotten one: Leonard Moore tackle on Sama 1 - 1 was the end of the game for me
What a dude
Mostly same. I love Faison as much as anybody, but he a WR2 or 3 for a championship team. That's our Achilles. So, a little concerned that I don't know where our explosive plays come from on offense. Faison and Aenyas are good WR1 and RB1 but I don't really see home run hitters. Carr is excellent as a distributor and that will be enough against at least 11 of the 12 teams we play this season. But I don't see who fiils the big play hole and that might come to bite us in the playoffs.
The defense is legit nasty and will only get more so as the season goes on. I was pissed Wisconsin scored 13. If McKinney and Saunders can step up, and the DTs get pressure, no one will move the ball on us.
Special teams looked good.
I knew Denbrock would be tempted to use alot of 12 tonight with the law firm Flanigan/Flanagan but was surprised Gilbert was the main wr opposite Faison in those sets. Figured it'd be Greathouse or Graham. We'll see if that's game. specificI think when Mylan gets going he’ll be phenomenal. Greathouse I definitely am concerned that he’s got no juice.
That’s what gets overlooked. Both Denbrock and Fickell know each other too well.I knew Denbrock would be tempted to use aloe of 12 tonight with the law firm Flanigan/Flanagan but was surprised Gilbert was the main wr opposite Faison in those sets. UGA under Kirby Smart has won a lot of games, and two national titles, being a second half team. Sure, I want to win every game more or less like the Syracuse game last year, but that's just not reality.9-3 is a stretch but would love to see it b/c their schedule is manageable. OL-D+, RB-C, Receiver-C+What do you guys grade the offensive line, running back, and receivers
Highly disagree. IU had a 1st round talent in Omar Cooper Jr. Elijah Surratt went 4th round. Charlie Becker projected to go 1st round in 2027 draft. They also had a burner in EJ Williams. We don't have anything remotely comparable to this for the entire wr core. Was disappointed in the wrs tonight but will be patient. Want to see more Graham, Fraizer, and some of the other freshmen. Dudes that can separate. As for the WR concerns, I get it, but also it's just one game. And there's no less talent in our WR than Indiana had last year
"I like rice. Rice is great when you're hungry and you want 2,000 of something." Mitch Hedberg.I want Rice’s ass like they stole a bike from Debo and Big Worm thought there was product hidden in it
He isn't just the only one that play and make it a point to get the ball in his hands. Graham is dynamic and needs to be fed the ball, Frazier is even more dynamic and didn't see a snap.Sloppy first half and a great second half.
I find it concerning that Faison is still the only WR with any real juice.
If we can get them off the sidelines and into the game...then when in the game they watch most of the targets go to Faison.1. Defense generally looked great, would’ve liked to see some more pressure up front.
2. O line pretty disappointing on run block but end of game was promising.
3. RB room downgrade was under appreciated heading into season. These guys are fine but the drop off is astronomical.
4. Was hoping for a WR to emerge as a vertical threat. Don’t recall anyone getting behind coverage all game…
5. Great to have a real kicker!
6. I think Wisconsin will be pretty good by the end of the year.
Tonight as well...1st read Faison, 2nd read Faison then everybody else was the only issueHe got open for Sam Hartman and Riley Leonard
