i think the badgers can be an 8-4 or even a 9-3 type team if that QB stays healthy because he can run and they are big and physical on both lines

A few things I'm looking at for this game: How does the OL look? Gelling and playing at a high level, or bumbling and being challenged in Pass/Run plays. Does the O hit a bunch of 3-and-outs? That would be disappointing. WR. How many catch a ball, and who is separating themselves from the pack...

Yep. Their defense is good and if they figure out a little more on offense, they're 8-4/9-3 and a fringe top 25 team.

9-3 is a stretch but would love to see it b/c their schedule is manageable. Most ND fans here & on social media underestimated Wiscy. It’s evident by all the fans freaking out on X as recent as 1H ago. Go back and look at this opening week’s matchups. Plenty of games were close at the half yet favorite ended up winning comfortably. Happens every year. I was surprised how many national pundits were echoing similar sentiments. Openers are so tough to predict unless it’s truly a tomato can (unless you’re scUM). I recall hearing all week that Haywood & the RG could both be out. Then I even heard Wiscy media saying they’d be shocked if both played. I believe both played the entire game. I feel for beat writers b/c they have limited access & fans take it as gospel.

So, a little concerned that I don't know where our explosive plays come from on offense. Faison and Aenyas are good WR1 and RB1 but I don't really see home run hitters. Carr is excellent as a distributor and that will be enough against at least 11 of the 12 teams we play this season. But I don't see who fiils the big play hole and that might come to bite us in the playoffs.

The defense is legit nasty and will only get more so as the season goes on. I was pissed Wisconsin scored 13. If McKinney and Saunders can step up, and the DTs get pressure, no one will move the ball on us.

Special teams looked good.

I know this might be a bit nitpicking but I’d like CJ to have more pocket awareness with the rush. He’s very calm in the pocket but twice he got lucky his arm was barely going forward and/or an O-Lineman fell on a fumble.
Just eat it or throw it away. Can’t have that happen against Miami or BYU.

Went exactly as I thought the game would go. I live in Milwaukee and married to a uw grad, Wisconsin is much better than last year. Tough first half opening up on them ol in the second half. Think Wisconsin will be an 8 win team. Denbrock is just so conservative early in the year. The three screen passes in a row drove me crazy

Mostly same. I love Faison as much as anybody, but he a WR2 or 3 for a championship team. That's our Achilles.

Maybe by playoff time somebody like Bubba Frazier can make an impact.

UGA under Kirby Smart has won a lot of games, and two national titles, being a second half team. Sure, I want to win every game more or less like the Syracuse game last year, but that's just not reality.

As for the WR concerns, I get it, but also it's just one game. And there's no less talent in our WR than Indiana had last year and to use them again, the Kirby Smart UGA teams. I get the title teams had a freak like Bowers, but all I'm saying is you don't need Jeremiah Smith or whatever to win a title. I think over the course of the season, a guy or two will emerge.

Impossible to account for the human element. The program suffered this week with the losses of Mr Shuler and Mr Guidugili. That impacts how they prepared, practiced and performed.

Adon came alive in the 2nd half. It was awesome to watch him flash that signature ruthless style of finishing on tackles, exactly what Freeman directed in the pregame chat.

Good to monitor the Johnson/ Onye injuries but this is where that depth flashes.

Highly disagree. IU had a 1st round talent in Omar Cooper Jr. Elijah Surratt went 4th round. Charlie Becker projected to go 1st round in 2027 draft. They also had a burner in EJ Williams. We don't have anything remotely comparable to this for the entire wr core. Was disappointed in the wrs tonight but will be patient. Want to see more Graham, Fraizer, and some of the other freshmen. Dudes that can separate.

He isn't just the only one that play and make it a point to get the ball in his hands. Graham is dynamic and needs to be fed the ball, Frazier is even more dynamic and didn't see a snap.
