Every Bulls fan could tell you how useful Korver is in the playoffs...

lots of people sh!tting on Korver, he took a 50/50 shot and missed. Then the Cavs PG who was on fire all night takes the strangest step back, fade away three. Then Lebron gets stripped but it's Korver's fault.

The Cavs traded for Korver for one purpose and purpose only and that is to hit that shot. It's his favorite spot on the court and he has to make it. He is filling the role the opposing coach(Steve Kerr) played while he was with Jordan - and Kerr hit those shots.

Oh, and that step back jumper Irving took is the same step back jumper that he hit in game 7 last year to bury the Warriors. It's not a bad shot, but he should have also made his.

You want to take a higher % shot in that situation. Drive, drive, drive.

The Warriors are basically an all-star team, until their owners don't want to pay a massive luxury tax, I doubt anybody beats them. Maybe Lebron should do what Durant did and go join em, since he can't beat em?

I know all of this. The step back fade away three is never a high percentage shot, it doesn't matter if he made it a prior time in a similar situation. It's akin to the hot hand fallacy. He simply should not have taken that shot. Lebron and Kyrie should've been driving because that's where they made their money earlier in the game.

And Korver doesn't have to make that shot. Give him one more and he'll likely make it. They said he shots 43% or 47% from the corner. So it's a coin flip every time, no better or worse.

There were countless plays the Cavs could've made to take that game and they didn't. The third or fourth to last possession didn't determine the outcome.

The Cavs should let Korver go, I'm sure he'd look good in a Golden State jersey.

Korver's percentage from that spot is seriously probably higher than LeBron's FG percentage.

I have watched very little of the playoffs, catching a quarter here and there. I've lost interest because of the NBA's insistence on stringing out the playoffs to make them last waaay tooo long.

Agreed. The first round should be best of 5 like it used to be. No reason for a best of 7 there.

Is Kyrie the dumbest athlete in sports? Submitting for evidence:

1. Flat Earth
1. Wanting to leave Lebron

I'm waiting to see how this all shakes out, but yeah...could be bad. There has been some discussion in the past that Kyrie wanted to be "The man" on his own team, but he already had that for 3 seasons in Cleveland before LeBron came back...and it didn't go well. Yeah, he didn't have much to work with, but right now with the way teams are building there's few real contender teams that are going to have the bandwidth to bring on his contract unless they give up some big pieces. He's going to end up on a team with maybe one other star and they'll have no hope of competing legitimately. He went from being on one of the worst teams in the weak East to a Finals participant/winner the last 3 years. Then again, if LeBron ends up leaving, maybe Kyrie is just getting out early.

The list of teams he submitted is, well, interesting:

NY (worst run franchise in NBA)
MIA (already has 2 solid PGS, and not much else other than Whiteside)
MIN (Kyrie on a Thibs coached team, lol)
SA (Kyrie on a Pop coached team, TROLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL)

Could this have been the problem for Klubot?

Tremendous win, though. Definitely has that Octobers-in-the-90s feel again at the corner of Carnegie and Ontario.

Another postseason meltdown for the Tribe! You know it will happen at some point, the only question is 'when.'

Francona had a rough series. He over-managed, he made strange lineup decisions, and he picked the wrong starters. Not saying that Kluber would have been great if he had pitched Games 1 and 4 rather than 2 and 5, but he is usually excellent. Starting Bauer on short rest in Game 4 was also dubious. It's not his fault that the offense struggled mightily, but he didn't help.

(There is a rumor that Kluber is injured, but if that's true he probably shouldn't have been pitching at all.)

I'm not blaming this because we've just looked like shit all the way around, but this is the worst umpiring I've ever seen.

I hope other Indians fans realize that this is what the franchise is. We're a bunch of choking dogs. It's simply unbelievable that in my short lifetime we've had five epic postseason collapses (1997, 1999, 2007, 2016, 2017). That's amazing. Now, other teams have had collapses too: the Yankees, for example, in 2001 and 2004. But they've also won titles in the meantime.

This is what it is. Accept it or pick a different team, I guess. (Which I can't do.)

This Loss Is Rough But Knew In The 7th They Were Done. Every Tribe Batter Was Taking Deep Breaths Between Pitches. No belief in themselves. The team Is built for the long term so Have faith. Im A Sox Fan And Have Lived Through Some Suicide Inducing Shizzle But It All Worked Out. Good Luck Next Year.

The Indians, under manager Terry Francona, are 2-8 in postseason games when they have a chance to clinch. In the last two years, they've lost six straight games in which they've had a chance to clinch.

They were 2-6 in such games from 1995-2012. Maybe Francona can only fix one choking franchise per lifetime.
