ND moved up to 4th, behind OSU, OK, and Miami.

OSU looks firmly set at 1 for a while. Miami will fade quickly.
Bama, UGA, FSU, and Clemson will likely challenge for top 5 soon.

So, kind of off topic, but on the 24/7 timeline it says that Chris Fink committed and signed a LOI on 04/16 /16. Does this mean he isn't a walk-on anymore and he is now a scholarship?

Given the string of positively delightful recruiting updates today (hat tip to the PANDA man), and the major turnaround in recruiting mojo in recent weeks (thank you NFL Draft), and the straight up nasty list of visitors coming to II, AND the fact that we just swooped a 5* QB right out from under Urban's dirty little weasel nose, I have to ask: WHO IS NEXT?

Stepp from Cathedral

Edit: Shoot, I forgot this was '17. Idk, I'm hoping for Foster Sarrell.

Stanford going to be extremely tough to beat but it seems like a ND/Stanford battle. We need for him to take this into the fall and with a good visit I think we could

A visit for the Stanford game would be nice....night game with payback on the menu.

Michael Young, K'Jakyre Daley and Jonathon MacCollister came out of the turn neck and neck (and neck)...here they come down the backstretch 3 wide, side by side... looks like it could be a photo finish...

Holy crap. That would be a huge haul after II.

Not to be that 'stars are everything' guy, but besides Burns (who's probably least likely), those are all consensus 3-stars.

I think they get 5-6 total at and soon afterwards. I just think one of those 3 will be "next". Wouldn't surprise me if 1 or 2 are silents, sight unseen. They're just waiting to get to campus to do it so that II gets the pub.

please stfu

Just saying, on paper those 4 to me are not an epic haul coming out of such a big time event on campus. There's not a 4-star rating on any ESPN/247/scout/247 composite/rivals for any of the 4 outside of Burns.

But get mad.

Maybe their offer lists are better than their ratings, but IDK about 5 star like.

MacCollister: ND, Ohio State, Oregon, Auburn, Clemson, Miami, Michigan State, UCLA, Tennessee, North Carolina, Mississippi State

Daley: ND, Oklahoma, Wisconsin, V Tech, Mississippi State, Tennessee

Carter: ND, Miami, Arkansas, Auburn, Clemson, LSU, Michigan, North Carolina, West Virginia, Wisconsin

Carter's and MacCollister's offer lists are damn near elite and Daley's is respectable. The "star" debate comes up every year and I will always believe that the offer list is more important than what a website ranks him

As far as Koon being worried that none are higher stars...

First off as some have said, these guys aren't really 3 stars. Just like Drew white isn't and Kevin Stepherson wasn't. Don't depend on these services to accurately label these guys. i posted a video for CJ Verdell who didn't even have PROFILES at Christmas, now he's got 20 offers and committed to Oregon... and still only an 84 Comp.

Secondly, it's not time for the most cream of the crop to commit. There are 33 5 star Comps of whcih 11 are committed. Of those 11, 7 are QB's, home market's or legacies and the #1 player in the nation, Najee Harris who is currently committed to Bama is in most people's opinion going to one of the Cali schools.

I bolded the offers I see as 'big time' - arbitrary, but I think we have an idea about who eats first in college football. There are 18 total among the 3 recruits, or 6 per player.

247 lists 33 5-star players. I looked at 16 and back to find an 'average 5 star', and took the 20th prospect, Isaiah Wilson (because 17, 18, and 19 are committed, thus impacting how many offers you get).

Isaiah Wilson's big time offers:

Bama
Georgia
LSU
Michigan
OSU
Auburn
Clemson
FSU
Miami
MSU
Nebraska
Ole Miss
PSU
Stanford
UCLA
USC
South Carolina
Florida

That's 18 'big time offers', or as many as the aforementioned 3-stars combined. So no, I personally do not see those as '5-star offer lists'.

Isaiah Wilson Recruit Interests

Commence the freak out!

I'd be pretty darn happy with that group should we land them by the end of June.

North Carolina and Wisconsin aren't big time offers but South Carolina (bottom feeder of the SEC), PSU (Franklin is an absolute joke), and Nebraska (left the Big 12 thinking they would dominate the Big 10, but they still haven't won a Big 10 Championship) are? Hmmmm. I'd be willing to bet that UNC and Wisconsin would beat all three of those teams head to head.
