I think there will be at least 2 commitments this weekend and maybe 3-4 if the right dominoes fall. That's including 2015 guys.

Does anybody know if any recruits will be on campus from the 25th-27th? I will be on campus then and am just wondering if I might see any recruits around

I can't see any scenario in which Elam would commit this week.

I'm 99% sure he was saying who would be on campus for the aforementioned dates in LoveThees's question

Edit: STL beat me to it.

Has to who is next, honestly '15 kids hoping for "dream offers" or visiting for the first time seem more likely than any '14 kid. I'll go with Corey Holmes though.

Tilley's 2015. Read the thread title! Lol.

Kuehnja, u asked if a DE was a basketball player and said he looked like a good MLB, calm down ;)

Also looks like GITF just went mod on u.

IMO, Holmes and Blankenship are the only real '14 possibilities to commit this weekend and I've said I don't see Holmes pulling the trigger.

I think we're more likely to see a '15 target pull the trigger this weekend (Tillery).

To be fair, the 247 search returns the basketball player first.

And I thought this said 'who's likely next 2014?'. I think a mod is messing around here, lol.

Maybe Matt Nelson? At Stanford through the weekend and expected to decide between ND, Stanford and Iowa shortly after his return...

I wonder who the staff prefers between Matt Nelson and Blankenship?

I assume they're fighting for the same spot as they're more project DEs than finished products.

The thing is we won't have to wonder for long - Nelson will decide shortly after this visit to Palo Alto is over.

But let's say Nelson wants to be Irish, and the staff obviously feels great about Blankership... What do they do? They wouldn't take both IMO.

I agree they don't take both. My bet is Nelson. 6'8" versatile athletes that can play DE or TE don't come around often. I think he brings something (size, versatility) to the table that Blankenship doesn't.

I wouldn't 100% discount it. From everything I have seen 4 is the minimum number they want for DL this cycle. It will probably not matter, as I think Nelson is going to choose Stanford, but it could certainly also be the case of the first come, first served.

I think Grant is a little less of a project, but with less upside. I would love to add either, as I am of the mind that you can never have too much defensive line depth. Give me one of those two and Holley and I am a happy man for our DL in '14. I just don't see us pulling Elam or some of the other more pure DT types.

Holley's visit will be huge. He'd be a great way to cap off the DL class + 1 of Nelson/Blankership.

If Nelson is going to grow into a 290, 6'8" guy, he's the obvious choice between the two but he has a LOT of healthy weight to gain. So yeah, I agreee.

Yeah if Nelson can put on good weight while not comprising his great athleticism for his size, he can be a monster. He is either going to be a really good player for us or a massive thorn in our sides 3-5 years from now.

How bout Thomas, Holley, Elam, Carter, & Morgan to close out the Front 7?

But that is dreaming of pipes and such
