Probably Crawford. Would be a big pick up right now after the BB fiasco.

Spoke to a source today that stated the commitment did occur, but it won't go pubic until the next 24-48 hours. The prospect would like to call a few coaches and inform them of his decision. He's trying to show respect to the coaching staffs that have recruited him.

Yay!?

Is Crawdaddy calling Urbie or did we land someone else? Surely he doesn't need to go call the Hoker?

I'm assuming Taylor because he has been actively recruited by a few schools. Crawford hasn't and Hilliard I just don't believe. Taylor had MSU, TENN, and OSU to call to say "Talk to my balls, I'm goin to ND"

- for those that watch last comic standing you may get that joke.

Elijah Taylor would be awesome as well. That seems to be the consensus from the insiders now. Oh well, we will get Crawford eventually, hopefully at II.

Praying for Taylor now, Crawford soon. Those two Ohio boys work on Hilliard hard. He commits. Cornell follows suit.

Would love to hear why you are excited about this?

How could you NOT be? 2 DT's locked up already would be awesome. I know they're not elite prospects, but A) I don't see them landing any top DT's, outside of maybe Gallimore, and B) They have a lot of potential and with the right coaching, they can turn into monsters. I'm looking at the line as a project of depth, not necessarily stars. You have Hayes, Cage and Mokwuah from last year and possibly Tiassum and Taylor manning the interior for the next 4ish years. That is definitely the makings of an dominant interior.

Even they do end up winning Gallimore, that's even better.

Taylor and Tiassum, yes please

I would be disappointed and surprised if the staff accepted a commitment from Tiassum at this point, assuming that Taylor is the one who committed.

On this point, Wiltfong said that DT numbers for this cycle will depend on "Jhonny Williams, Trumbetti, Bonner and guys like that." That further makes me believe that if Taylor has committed that Tiassum does not currently have a spot in this class. There are guys ahead of him on the board and we don't know what the total need for DT is right now.

Well I just disagree strongly, very strongly on the elite part but I guess I see where you are coming from

Considering Hilliard's visit, I can see that as a possibility, though Cornell maybe tougher to read. I definitely like our chances with Hilliard right now.

Wait, elite in terms of them or elite in terms of the other prospects that ND "might" have a shot at. I just think ND doesn't have much of a shot at anyone else, so might as well get this out of the way, but who knows? Maybe I'm totally off base right now and ND is secretly waiting on a 5-star tandem of DT's to commit.

Both are very raw prospects and have faults, but can be dominant DT's. Taylor is a bit undersized which is his main issue. He's quick and very strong, but has trouble at times to get off his block. Tiassum may be even better, but we may not know. He looks mad quick, powerful and is bigger than Taylor, but he plays significantly weaker opposition in Indiana's lower classification. I'd say those two, combined with the trio of DT's we had last year would definitely solidify a dynamic unit inside for years to come.

I get wanting elite. We all want the next great all time CFB DT. But let's not pretend we've done well at that position. If we got 5 guys in 2 cycles that can play the interior Dline starting in 2012 we would have been jumping for joy. Solid players with high upside should make us all happy after the drought we experienced.
