I'll go with Cornell next.

That would be nice!

Do yourself a favor and go watch fitzpatrick's jr highlights, I do not care if he commits now or on signing day, BVG just needs to make it happen.

Other than that the third guy I would love to land this cycle is Brossett. RB's from LA that like ND do not grow on trees. I hop somehow we can get him to flip.

3rd guy? Hoge, Tillery, Barnett are in the fold. Or do you mean Cornell, Fitzy and then Brossett? I'd be down with that as the first 6 on board.

I'm thinking both these kids wait for a while before deciding..like Jan/Feb 2015.

Yea, I would agree with that. Cornell's recruitment won't be like Onwalu's. I would expect them both to take officials to other schools.

We'll probably have a better idea over the next 2-3 weeks who the visitors will be for Junior Day. At which point we'll be able to tell a little bit better of who would commit if offered or soon there after. Here's Wiltfong's list of IN players to follow.

1. Asmar Bilal
2. Josh Barajas (very close between these two)
3. Brandon Tiassum
4. Brandon Knight
5. Justin Tranquill

Those are just three wants in general. All I feel we have a shit at but all will need to be recruited and sold. They are big time players IMO. Brossett and Fitzy even more so than Cornell.

I'm not sure we land any of them if we're shitting at them.

Wow, was looking at team rankings on 247. We come in 17th with 3 recruits( a big sexy 96 rating average though). I lose track of time, but I thought Elmer committing when he did 2 years ago was really early. Then last year a couple more even earlier. Now teams like Alabama and LSU have almost half there class verbally committed (if they played fair)....

Is it social media speeding this up? It's February and I feel like we should have more people committing right now. Even though I know it's ridiculously early, and I never would have expected that 2 years ago. Are classes going to fill up by the end of may in 5 years. I don't like it, do you guys think this will hurt us? We never seem to be the favorites for the big fish around this time of year. It takes time for us to get to them.

With all that said, how many, if any, do we sign by the time junior day is over. I don't see any big guys popping like Cornell. Is it smart to take 3 star guys this early? I cant believe LSU has 3 3stars committed this early.

(I'm starting to dislike the crystal ball, people putting guesses in just to try and be as early as possible.)

I think we will get two for Junior day weekend, and one will be a linebacker.

We are fine and in fact in a real good position. You cannot fully evaluate until January or February plus you are buys recruiting the previous class. Plus in football the kids like to take their visits and play out the process.

Don't think its new, Texas used to essentially complete their class by the time summer practices started. Although they have fallen off a bit on the recruiting trail recently.

Awesome. Also, great bump for a great thread. Even if we're playing the long game right now and things are a bit slow on the commitment watch front.

Wiltfong posted this morning he thinks Ruhland will be next (possibly this week), and that if Tillery sticks we are done on the OL. He also says we are probably in the driver's seat for Hilliard, and in the top 3 for Taylor.

Getting Hilliard would put us right with Cornall too. That would be a sweet boost to front 7 recruiting.

I'll take that! Thanks for the update!
