Haha, Fallout,... Smh

It's gonna be badass, you should give it another shot.

Currently playing some Chrono Trigger

Brick, where ya been? Chrono Trigger is a game that's timeless, no pun intended. Seldom do I find a game where I enjoy all the characters, but Chrono Trigger falls in that boat for me. Great story, fun combat, great graphics for the 16 bit era, not to mention fuckin' time travel. All that, and Frog was the man!....err....frog.

latest

Chrono Cross was pretty good too, but there was some weird plot stuff in that one at times, a little bit confusing, and I think it contradicts itself in places. Still a great game though.

Pokemon Blue Version.

Like a boss.
My friends and I brought that game back from the dead senior year of high school. Once we got our college acceptance letters, we spent the last three or four months playing Pokemon behind our backpacks. I got a one day suspension from school on prom night because I declined to turn over my GameBoy when the Vice Principal and "dean of discipline" tried to confiscate it.

True story.

You didn't get laid until after college, did you?

Anyone a COD zombie fan? I'm getting a PS4 if I have any money left after the USC game. Game comes out in November, going to get that and MG Phantom Pain and dominate.

Ahhh, there's Wooly in the video game thread, calling people dorks.

Just like old times.

Because I played a video game for children ten years ago? I told that story in response to IrishLion who's playing the same video game now.

It's a strategic gold mine!

Also, I work in an academic library. Emulator's saved my life.

Also, I freely admit that I am a dork and a nerd to the highest degree.

I will not apologize.

Yes, you deserved it. I'm saying this as someone that is generally on your side in most of your battles with Wooly. The below quote is more Napoleon Dynamite than AC Slater.

Because you were a senior in high school playing pokemon behind your backpack while other senior dudes were busy playing sports and bedding cheerleaders.

Well I met your mom in 2007 and that was senior year of high school, so...

Ohhhhhh, someone rush him to the burn unit!

If this a world where you have to apologize for playing childhood games, I'm on the wrong planet. I still play MG1 every Christmas.

Actually, the dudes at my school lead the same type of charge back in the day.

Probably the fact that we were in grade school when the game dropped, and then once the season was over and the school year was winding down, someone got it out to be a pre-hipster, and the rest of us (football players) followed suit out of nostalgia.

1. I played varsity football starting sophomore year (though I was much better at volleyball).

2. The other guys weren't playing sports and bedding cheerleaders in class, which is when I was playing Pokemon.

3. The guys bedding cheerleaders are Community College of Rhode Island dropouts who now work for their home town's Parks and Rec department, cutting grass and painting bleachers. Maybe you peaked in high school and still wear your letter jacket to the QuickStop, but I did not and I do not.

After hearing how close Wizard's story is to my own, I'd probably now be willing to bet that a high percentage of kids born in the early 90's played Pokemon as children, and then played it again at some point later in life out of nostalgia.

Pokemon was after my childhood, but I equate it to the games I played during my childhood like Super Mario 1, Mike Tyson's Punch Out, Final Fantasy IV, and any number of other games that are nostalgic for me and I replay from time to time. I'm currently trying to teach my 4 year old how to play Super Mario Brothers because I want to raise my kids to appreciate great things that are vintage and not just the newest gadgets and technologies.

Did you wear those tight underoo volleyball shorts?

They weren't playing pokemon period.... not just in class. The difference is outside of class, they were bedding cheerleaders and you were trading pokemon cards and watching cartoons.

Bolded is rich considering I probably make more money than you, have a higher level of education (MBA), am most likely involved in more organizations than you, and live a pretty good life surrounded by family and friends. I don't need to wear my varsity jacket around my hometown for people to know who I am. That's in direct correlation with not spending my childhood playing pokemon behind my backpack and sneaking in mean games of gameboy.

All of the best athletes and "cool kids" I knew growing up all seem pretty successful and happy now. The whole argument that "cool" kids all end up being bums is completely incorrect. It's just something pokemon playing dorks tell themselves in order to get through the mental hurdles of their own childhood.

for anyone with xbox1 is it better to buy the game online and just download it or to actually go buy the game from a store?

The argument that dudes that played Pokemon don't go bed the cheerleaders is pretty incorrect, at least for me personally lol.

You know what, this is one of those times where Wooly just needs to flex and try to go in on Wizards, so I'm gonna stop defending myself since I'm only being called a nerd indirectly lol.

FWIW, I played football all 4 years of high school and started at RT my Junior and Senior years. We won our division both years I started, and went to playoffs for the first time in school history my Senior year before getting ousted by the defending State champions, Lebanon. I played video games then, and I still do. I will say I was much different than a lot of the other jocks as I was in a lot of AP and Honors classes, and I had more friends that played Tennis/Track/Academic friends than I did Football/Basketball friends. Tennis girls have nice legs, and play in skirts, what can I say?

I desparately hope you make more money than me, considering you claim to have been a Notre Dame fan since 1982, seven years before I was born. Even if you're being cute and saying you were born an ND fan, that makes you at least 32. If you're 32 with an MBA and you're making less than someone four years out of school, you're doing something very wrong.

Since you brought it up, I also have a master's degree and I'll have two master's degrees before I'm 30. Nice try though.
