What video game are you playing?

Black flag is just fun because you get to sail around and be a pirate. See a convoy that has a lot of rum and sugar? Time to board that bitch. Plus the ship combat is amazing. The worst parts of the game are the normal "assassins-creedy" parts like tediously being "stealthy" to listen to conversations you really don't care about.

If Ubisoft made a next generation pure pirate game where it was just you pillaging and no assassins creed stuff, I'd be all over it.

My little brother went apesh*t over the ship-leveling system (no idea how it works) when I asked him about Black Flag when he started playing it.

Maybe I'll have to pick it up and dust off my AC skills before Unity comes out. I was really pumped to climb the Eiffel Tower, until I found out that the game takes place far before its construction.

I'm video-game OCD though, so I'll probably have to play through the whole series first.

I'm finally getting decent at War Thunder... I think I made the mistake sticking to American planes early on and their low level stuff stinks imo... now that I have built up to tiers three and four I have B 17s and P-39s and I'm doing much better... the P-39 is a freakin life saver...

still thinking about focusing in on Russian planes and getting a YAK though, that plane still consistently gives me fits.

Also, CPU users use 'mouse aim' correct?? I assume that is MUCH easier than my PS4 controller

Yeah, mouse is way better than controller. Also, you have to fly a Spitfire. It's iconic and awesome.

I played it on the PC when it first came out. I have no idea how it will play out on the console, but there's been a lot of changes/balancing since release.

My initial impression was that it was really fun in the lower difficulty settings, but ramped up in difficulty pretty steeply as you play on the harder settings. And this is coming from a dude that rocks a t-shirt that has a picture of an NES controller and says, "Roots".

Again, this was at release and I've been told by the few friends that still play the game that it's waaaaaaaaaay easier now than it was before and the drop rates for items is an order of magnitude kinder, so it may be a good family game.

Just don't be surprised if it get rough on Master+ difficulty (had to look that up, they call those last levels Torment I-VI in PC).

I've been playing WWF No Mercy on N64. I've been playing as Chris Jericho and my mind was blown with the fact they used his storyline calling Stephanie McMahon a "filthy, dirty, disgusting, brutal, bottom feeding, trash bag ho" IN GAME! Yes, I'm a Jerichoholic.

The only WWF game on N64 I played as a kid was War Zone so I bought No Mercy and Wrestlemania 2000 to experience.

Wrestlemania 2000 was good back in the day. It used the same engine as the NWO Revenge game if I recall. I remember the button system being a lot better than the War Zone controls. In fact, I think the button system became the new defacto system/style for future wrestling games.

Yep! I played World Tour and Revenge back then and remember War Zone was completely different. The more Street Fighter/Mortal Kombat type controls was a lot harder, luckily I had the strategy guide! If WM2000 and Revenge have the same controls, then from what I remember NM has the same engine. The best thing with WZ was being able to listen to the entrance music on loop! I'm still doing my season in NM so I haven't played WM2000 yet.

Have y'all played WWE 2k13 or '14? I've thought about getting them for the Attitude Era/DX and Wrestlemania modes. I wasn't impressed with the newest WWE game I've played but I can't remember which one it was. I guess 2k15 is launching soon.

I have WWE 13 with the Attitude Era story mode.
I get the WWE games every other year...HATE the product on television...but I really love wrestling video games. I don't know why. Always have.

Used to love wrestling as a kid.
The new games have a UNIVERSE mode that is highly customizable.
It's decent.

Can someone explain the appeal of consoles to me? Outdated graphics running at 24fps for more money and less customizability/free games than on PC. You get dramatically worse game selection and a controller which is about as inaccurate as it gets for input systems. Of course, if you like controllers, they work with computers too. I guess I just don't understand the hype when they are objectively worse in virtually every way.

I'm like Alamo, I haven't watched wrestling in a long time. Just recently I've been reading bleacher report to somewhat keep up with what's going on but it doesn't really interest me. I YouTube the late 90's-early 2000's events but that's about it.

Smackdown 2 has been my favorite ever since it came out. The first Smackdown game for ps2 looks legit to but I never played it. I think the last one I bought was a Smackdown vs Raw (2009?) and returned it the same week. The Attitude Era mode in '13 has interested me since that was the time I was really into it. Middle school kid seeing "puppies" on tv, how could I not be! I had a DX patch on my gym bag!!

A lot of newer games are designed around the limitations of consoles anyway, so I often save the money and purchase 5+ years out of date. Can't do that with consoles. Backward compatibility? Lol.

Yeah...I tend to buy games made for consoles and ported over, on the console platform for that purpose.

I'll be building a gaming PC that will double as an audio recording PC sometime in the near future. I'm partial to massive RTS games that console gamers don't get to play.

Those games are so pretty on next generation. I'm playing Tomb Raider. It's pretty fun but is getting a little repetitive. I feel like I'm probably 80% done with it.
