I can't get my hands to react fast enough to play the game, but I watch my nine year old play the heck out of Spider-man.
I always request that costume.
It's like watching my imagination as a kid come to life!

I wish they had a cel shaded symbiote costume.

Finally 100%'d RDR2 last night. AMA.

I barely got to 50 the other night,... of course the move took a ton away but even still,... I find I like the side mission stuff more but it takes so much time that I often decline to play due to lack of time.

Don't sweat it. Getting to 100% was not a pleasant experience. I was working on Challenges pretty aggressively from day 1, but still only got through 45/90 by the end of the main story. Took me another couple weeks to complete the rest of them. Then another couple weeks to get all the Collectibles. The Hunting Requests and Exotics quest lines were the worst.

I'm finding myself having a real hard time with trying to find the dreamcatchers. Sometimes I stumble across one by luck (which, is pretty much how you do find stuff like that really I feel). I'm trying very hard to not look up help online.

I used this interactive RDR2 map. Filtered out everything but Dreamcatchers, Rock Carvings and Dinosaur Bones, then collected them all in one big circuit.

Finished all of the side quests in Spider-Man on my way to 100%, then I'm thinking of doing a New Game+ on Ultimate difficulty to get the platinum trophy.

Did you buy the Special lures from the bait shop in Lagras? They won't bite on normal bait and lures. Assuming you're using the right special lure (river/ swamp/ lake) and casting toward the legendary fish's drawing on the map, you should get it on the first or second cast every time.

Fishing also becomes much easier once you realize that pulling back on the left stick repeatedly lands them way faster than reeling with the right stick.

Is there any "legitimate" in-game way to do this? If not, I'll probably skip trying to 100% it.

Not that I'm aware of. All of the collectibles twinkle when you're in Eagle Eye mode, but it's not practical to keep engaging it everywhere you go, so unless you already know where to look, finding them all naturally would take months. I utilized online resources heavily and it still took me forever to finish everything.

I 100%'d it for the Undies suit, enjoyed that first playthrough, but didn't have much motivation for a 2nd run. Not sure why.

I caught one leg fish once and it was a total accident, literally. I flicked the cast, it barely went in the water. A cut scene jumped immediately to me picking the fish out the water.

I had a tough time getting the legendary Sockeye Salmon to bite in Lake Isabella, but every other legendary fish was basically automatic. If you get to play tonight, let me know what you're fishing for, where you're standing, and what lure you're using. I'll try to figure out what the problem is.

Get your right thumb off the stick when the fish is flopping around. Use the left stick to control it and start reeling when the fish calms down.

^this is great advice.....I have literally never broke a line yet following this same method. If the fish starts splashing and going right, stop reeling and move left-stick to the left; if the fish goes left, move left-stick to the right. Once the fish stops splashing, start reeling again.

I'd hate to be 'that guy'......but I got the legendary bluegill the first time I threw the special lure in the water.

now, I spent about 20mins prior to that, fishing that same spot until I got the correct 'special' lure. But once I used the correct special lure, that leg bluegill jumped on the hook. I then moved up (north) to the Leg Chain Pickerel; it took a little longer to get that one, but not much. I had it within 5-10mins of getting the pole in the water (i think that needed the special river lure).

I’ve also found that instead of using my thumb for the legendary fish, I use the pal of my hand to reel faster. Then just use the left stick to control when fighting. Seems to work.
