What Really Grinds Your Gears?

What grinds my gears, is when I am getting investigated for hazing new staff using the same joke that Administration staff played against me. Then finding out the guy behind playing the joke on me was leading this charge to get me investigated for hazing.

Then when an independent investigator comes in and interviews me and I throw that admin staff along with a few others under the bus then the investigator tells me that once the investigation is complete they will release the findings to THE SAME PERSON I JUST THREW UNDER THE BUS.

The fact that I'm 32 and Notre Dame has been a meidocre team at best in football my entire life, except they won a title when I was 4. Love watching that DVD against West Virginia. Mostly what grinds my gears is that some ND fans love to say " oh BK is the best we can do" or " who is better than BK that will come here" "I dont want to take a chance on him because we will be right where we are now" The worst thing in the world to do is settle for being mediocre. And thats exactly what our football program is. It needs to change

When you go to Home Depot to pick up a few hex bolts and other miscellany, then while you're in there you forget what vehicle you're driving and decide to pick up those 8' 2x4s you've been needing, then realizing you have your midsize sedan as you roll through the parking lot in the pouring rain, then stand there getting soaked as you try to uninstall a toddler car seat so you can get the seats folded down and pray the wood fits.

My wife starting a new project before the current one is finished.

Better yet - having some projects planned and completely cockblocked by the wife's latest, completely unrealistic, idea to add on to the house. Of course I can't move forward with replacing the decking or the living room window because that would be walking all over her cockamamie "plan". She has a tennis team buddy who is an architect and she won't even have her over to talk it over at all and hates me for bringing up fifty issues with roof lines, foundation, all brick exterior, etc, etc that make this not just flushing money down the toilet but structurally unrealistic at best.

Old decking was going to be used for kids playset and extending a slab in the basement for more storage. Why block one project when you can block three.

A guy posted an "open letter" to Austin's subreddit a few months back addressed to the f*cker who stole a package off his front porch. It was his wife's fertility treatments and because the package was stolen the day that they needed it, they had essentially wasted thousands of dollars and his wife was inconsolable. It was incredibly sad to read.

Really tired of the piling on with sports media toward Notre Dame-the jealousy out there by some is very real. For example the Tillery deal on un sportsman behavior is very small compared to all the other bull$%#@ that goes down, wrong as it was this kid was not out of control but if you listen to Levy you'd think he committed a crime. Just like the players sanctions earlier this year and the academic violations which Notre Dame self reports and takes care of immediately in house. They just wont let go of a chance to ruin a name of a school who is trying to do it the right way. In todays world a Jim Harbaugh or Nick Saban or Urban Myer is a hero and Notre Dame is to be criticized-unbelievable. We're talking about the ass wagging the dog here folks.

Going off this... some slang words rub me the wrong way. Working in a juvenile facility I deal with a lot of urban youth, especially those from Philly. Jawn is the end all be all slang word for these kids. Technically it means thing ("Pass me that jawn"), but it is really just a replacement for any and all nouns/pronouns.

Lol I have not heard that one. My younger family members will post a picture on social media of literally anything, along with the caption "TBH?" We all know that means "to be honest" but what it has to do with whatever random picture they are posting befuddles me.

My son is 9 and playing for his school's basketball team. I took him to the Y yesterday to work on some things with him. About 3/4 of the people shooting had ear buds in while they were on the court. I'm assuming this is some Steph Curry shit as everyone was shooting 28 footers.

Oh Philly owns it as their own! I read an article about how some linguists believe it's a manifestation of sorts of NYC's "joint." The newest Rocky film, Creed has the female lead teaching Apollo's son how to properly use it, as they are in Philly and he is new in town. What makes it worse for me is that my name is John, so anytime I hear a kid use "jawn" I immediately think they are talking to me.

I know teenagers like to do TBH on social media. They'll post a status or picture with it as the caption, and people will like it. Whoever likes it will get a TBH in their DMs from the original poster.
