A young woman (mid-20's?) pulled out RIGHT in front of me today and I had to lock it up and dodge her. I blew my horn at her so she decided to flip me off as if I'm the ass in this situation. If she'd just given me the "Oops, my bad. Sorry" wave I'd have been fine (we've all done something stupid while driving), but her attitude was, "Screw you for blowing your horn and not liking that I nearly wrecked us both."

Well, I see your complaint and recognize the oddities of driving. Quickly. Was It 2 or 4 lane was It residential or the highway? Did you have time to make room? Or was It hard to hit the brake and be polite... vice versa on her account? I drive a lot for a living and find myself in situations similar. Altho, If I have the right of way and don't mind others ignorance and defensively drive, I usually find myself acting like the fool. In my head usually... You even knew the gender which tells me you probably had time to react?

Dude. If you had any idea how hard it is to put on mascara, FaceTime your girlfriend AND drive you wouldn't be such a d!ck and feel the need to show your displeasure regarding her plight. Sorry, but this grinds my gears.

people who bag on the US and have zero clue about global conditions. recently a person (think young, TDS, a year or so out of college) was criticizing everything US, and asked why we couldn't be more stable like the Europeans. I ask the person if they knew what Brexit was, if they knew Macron had a sub 30% approval, Germany was a mess and Merkel was on her way out, and that Italy and Greece were financial wrecks. The response..., "well what about Ireland" lol...

I give the 20 somethings a pass, the tie-dye 40 & 50 somethings get the verbal pimp hand.

i just hate the thought of the 20 somethings growing into more tie dye 40 and 50 somethings... in general, one would expect someone out of college to understand a bit about the global landscape. instead, they seem more indoctrinated than educated.

Curious as to why Germany is a mess? I end up visiting there every other year as my wife is half German (both my kids are dual citizens). Seems like things are going well overall, though I don’t keep up with it that much. I assume you can focus on the negative of any area.

It's a lost cause and something only people outside their own thoughts can come to terms with. Our media has a lot to do with the indoctrination.
Grinding my gears by way of simplicities and birth-rights never earned.
I Love all Irish fans although I don't understand what I've never had a conversation with. Man to man

i have several ties to Germany, but the biggest are two guys (that have worked with or for me) that moved here in the last decade. both have a ton of family still there and visit all the time. both say politics is as bad or worse as here in the US. really an interesting story between the SPD/Greens/CDU CSU, etc.. Basically the centrist are flailing. immigration is one of the biggest topics of concerns, and it's driving a lot of political fall out. mix in an EU in turmoil and it's not a pretty picture as Germany will be relied upon even more as Brexit occurs. losing the UK will put a lot of stress on both Germany and France.

Not as important as some of the political discussion but what about a sports network that has stephen a smith on twice per day and considers paul finbaum a football commentator worth listening to-only in America.

When you decline a Google calendar invite for a sales meeting and email the rep telling him explicitly "I'm not interested and I don't have time." Then he shows up anyway with his colleague just to "chat real quick." Buddy, f*** off. I did you the courtesy of telling you not to come by because I'm not interested. Showing up anyway and trying to weasel into my schedule is just bush league.

Playing in a golf tournament today. It's a four man scramble. We have put together a really good team that all play off each other's strengths and weaknesses. I think we have a good shot here. Unfortunately it's gonna be in the low fifties today and the other three players are southerners. I have already had numerous calls and texts complaining about how cold it is. This isn't going to go well.

As a native Southerner, let me help you here. They can handle the cold just fine. They're hoping you get the hint and offer to bring a bottle of good bourbon to knock off the chill.

Just seems like you can paint a bleak picture of Germany or the US if that’s what you want (and what you complained about). Your view on Germany just seems like the same version of that. Just had my wife’s aunt and uncle with us and they had a positive outlook on Germany. Guess it’s all perspective. Politics is crazy that way. I live in a heavily Republican area and many people seemed to flip a switch once Trump got elected. Instantly, everything was better. That’s the main reason I wanted him elected, happier neighbors.

both Germans I know are polar opposites in terms of politics. but both share the same opinion that things are F'd up and going down hill (in Germany, and EU). the politics of the countries are only a small component of what's going on. not sure how anyone that reads even a small amount of global/Euro news can think things are rainbows and puppy dogs. my complaint (what grinds my gears) is people bagging on the US and thinking the ROW (rest of world) is a picture of stability, while really having no understanding of what's going on.

I never see those guys. I tell the receptionist to send them away.

I spent about an hour at the mall today.

Capitalism was a mistake.

I don't go to the grocery store on weekends anymore. Why? I have no patience for the crowds and the people who enter the store, stop, and gaze. It's baffling. Some of these people just stop in their tracks and stare like they were just dropped onto a foreign planet.

It's the food store, the same one you've been going to weekly for months or years. How hard can it be?

When a DB stands up and flexes his muscles after breaking up a pass never really realizing that the opponent has already passed for 300+ and three TDs on his defense in the game.

There was a guy in line ahead of me at the Verizon store buying his ten year old and iPhone. The dude was being upsold on EVERYTHING. Phone insurance, phone insurance water damage add-on, Otterbox Defender cases, tempered glass screen protectors, early upgrade plan, and on and on. The dude must have spent $1,500 on his $800 phone. For his ten year old.

"To be fair...."
I would want all that protection for a 10 year old with an iPhone*

*I would not give a 10 year old an iPhone or any smartphone anyway.

People who complain about stuff in general on Twitter. You’re not that important and nobody who is a mature adult and lives in the real world really cares.

The focus of my comment wasn't really Twitter per se. I see it all over the place. People at work, blogs, newspapers, magazines. All everyone does is bitch.

Agreed. Complaining is just excuses. Any one can point out a problem. The part that actually takes effort is coming up with a solution, which not everyone can do. There’s just so much of it on social media, that’s why social media is a huge turnoff in general for me. It’s like an alternate reality sometimes.

Libs complaining about their "racist" Trump-supporting relatives. Trump-supporting relatives complaining about their good-for-nothing millennial lib nieces and nephews. Etc.
