Let's see how they do after Kelly bolts for the NFL next spring. Everything Oregon has accomplished is built on Kelly's offensive genius. Nike's money definitely helped keep Kelly there, when he otherwise would have bolted for a better program long ago. But all the hype and shiny uniforms are just window dressing. If they can't keep winning once Kelly leaves, they'll fall right back to irrelevance.
It can't come soon enough. I don't know how many online message boards or online sites the people of this site peruse but I read quite a few and I don't know if there is fanbase with a bigger legend in their own mind complex than Duck fans. They've been trolling the internet since the start of the damn season and I'm tired of these "fans" who probably just started cheering for Oregon maybe 3 years ago tops talking down to Notre Dame like we're some upstart school out of nowhere.
I've literally seen Oregon fans in the past two weeks say: Notre Dame has a lot of heart but they'll definitely lose to USC, Oregon is starting a football revolution that will change the landscape of CFB, Oregon is probably the best team in CFB history, Notre Dame is a nice little team but they'll lose soon enough, Oregon probably has a better DEFENSE than Notre Dame, Notre Dame will get blown out by Oregon if they play in the NCG, etc.
I'm tired of these 19 year old kids who started following Oregon because they score a lot of points and wear "cool "uniforms treating Notre Dame like Boise State. Once Oregon falls back to hinterlands of CFB all of these "fans" will be on to the next flash in the pan.
