I think as used on the field, they're fine.
If the Irish come out of the tunnel at Soldier field vs Wisconsin in navy & orange, trimmed in gold you Nancies can complain but to co-brand with the Yankees makes sense. They have a huge regional alumni base within a two hour drive, the birthplace of the term Subway Alumni started there, the Yanks colors are navy and white - two of the 3 colors used on every standard ND uni plus the Yankees are the only sports team in America that compares historically to ND as original "America's Team's". So ND isn't co-branding with an unequal. The unis have navy, white and gold so not much to b!tch about.
The helmet is ok but interesting they chose matte. The Yankees only use matte batting helmets on the road. I would have gone with the same gloss finish they wear at home but whatever.
Now as far as buying a replica? Nope. The pinstriped sleeves on the civilian issue doesn't translate. Some of the other items are pretty sharp though.
You guys better hope they never play at Comiskey, cuz UA's only a gold trimmed number away from converting these beaut's!
