What does a grey rep mean?

I have fallen victim to the unlimited rep bug. I get repped by some of the big dawgs and I feel like it is Christmas then I look to the right to see my new rep power and it only increased 100/1 points. The big present was really just a year membership to the jelly of the month club.

I second this question. I'd like to see all of my reps that I have given and received but can go back only so far. I have been neg repped once. I remember the thread and vaguely remember why but would like to revisit my time in the courts.

I go back and forth on it. Being able to rep every solid post you see is fun (especially when one or two posters are on a roll), but when a neg rep is necessary, having the power to seriously dent someone's rep bar can also be rewarding.

Hmmm, I was thinking about turning unlimited rep off to see if my rep power would go back up. It looks like it's still in the 200s after turning the feature off. Will it go back up over time to a high number like normal, or will it jump up quick to where it should have been had I never turned unlimited rep on?
