I thought season 2 was great... I'm mid way through season 3 and it seems a bit all over the place but I'm assuming it ties up as it moves forward.
I'm 2 episodes in and this is my takeaway. I trust that it'll narrow down, but I'm certainly not loving it
Watched the first 2 episodes and it's fine so far. Hoping that it picks up
Steve Harrington is the GOAT. Character development for dayyyyyyysssssss.
Really happy to hear you guys like it. I wasn't too high on Season 2. If it's anything close to Season 1 I'll be thrilled. Will probably start it tonight.
I think story wise season 1 was overall slightly better, but I prefer the ending to season 3. I was always kind of underwhelmed by the end of season one. El just using the force on the monster was kinda ehh.
But on a technical level season 3 is better in every single way. The cinematography and CGI in particular are amazing. It's the best looking show Netflix has ever produced.
I will say though going into season 4 I think some of these characters need to be omitted. There are just too many at this point with all the new ones they added. For instance I think Nancy and Johnathan can be cut from next season. Erica can be done. I've seen enough Murray.
Really I just want to see the gang back together as mostly one and with the size of the cast as it is that seems hard to accomplish going forward.
Those are OG main characters...Now you are starting to worry me about whether I will like Season 3.
Billy and Mrs Wheeler is still the best story arc of the show
Season 3 was fantastic. Might be better than season 1, idk I'll have to rewatch to decide. Definitely better than season 2.
SPOILERS!
We can all agree [redacted]
Stranger Things spoilers.
Seriously spoilers.
The more I've thought about it since finishing season 3 the more I'm convinced Hopper is 100% alive.
1. The shot of him looking at the gate before he turns around and gives Joyce the nod. No reason to include this otherwise.
2. When Joyce does turn the key you can see looking out that Hopper isn't in the shot, he's not standing on the platform where he was.
3. There's like a 6 second cut to black after Joyce turns the key. Perfect spot to show later on that he jumped into the upside down during that gap.
4. NO BODY. That's the biggest one IMO. If they don't show you the body they aren't dead. No way a main character of Hoppers iportance is dying off screen.
5. Keep the door open 3 inches. Obvious.
6. David Harbor is growing a badass beard. Looks exactly like the crazy beard someone would grow being trapped in the upside down for months.
7. El losing her powers. The perfect excuse for her being unable to know he's not dead.
8. Heroes was playing when Will's fake body was found in season 1. What was playing during Hoppers death montage? Oh yeah Heroes.
I think the American is a fake out. Most people will assume that's going to be Hopper. That will turn out to be Brenner/Papa and will be revealed early on in season 4. Everyone will be sad assuming that means Hopper must really be dead, only for the reveal to come later on that he actually survived the whole time by jumping into the upside down before the machine exploded.
Billy and mrs wheeler is not a wet fart. They built that up season 2 and after a summer of dancing around it Billy goes in for the kill.
Hopper ain't dead but he should be. Billy died too soon RIP
Anyone watch Dark S2 yet?
Just got done rewatching S1. Still in awe of the incredible depth of the story. I picked up a couple things I missed the first time watching. It's not a show you can watch casually lol.
Hard for me to believe S2 could be near as good as S1.
And yes, Mrs. Wheeler is very well preserved.
He went in for the kill, but it was only a mechanism to get him in his car near the barn/factory/whatever. They didn't need an entire season of googly eyes to make that happen.
They could've dedicated that time in Season 2 to exploring more of Billy and Max's messed up relationship or something, which would have given his ending in Season 3 much more impact.
Also, I find it kind of funny that they basically stole the turning point in "Justice League" as a means of getting Billy's mind back. "I'm going to bring up your mom and everything will be okay just because of that."
Ya'll spoiler ass, bitch ass, spoiler ass, spoilers....
It's been out almost a week. What are you doing spending time with your wife and kids or something?? Get you priorities straight bro.
Did they really spend that much time on it? All I remember is her answering the door a couple times.
Also what is really added by them banging? Instead we got her deciding not to go through with it and see her trying to be a better mother and wife later on in the season.

Nothing added by them banging. I'm glad they didnt. Just wish we could have seen her have that conversation with a regular Billy instead of possessed Billy.
Bring back Billy please. Best character on the show.
