Several years ago, IrishSteelhead mentioned a chili recipe he made that was outstanding. I got the recipe from him, but never got around to making it, though I often started to. During my two weeks alone at home last month while my wife & two youngest daughters were on a trip, I finally made a big pot of it (doubled Steelhead's recipe). Well worth the time & effort! It was outstanding... probably the best chili I've ever eaten, and not particularly difficult nor time consuming to make.

Steak and Cheese is back on the menu boys

As someone who damn near eats Subway every lunch because I'm lazy and it's the only fast food place close to my house...who the hell pays $14 for this garbage? I don't pay more than $8 for those shit sandwiches. If Penn Station or Hot Head Burrito weren't 15+ minutes away I'd take my lunches there.

The man is living his best life right now, enjoying steak and BJ Tuesdays and hanging by the pool. Like Herpes, he'll be back when the season rolls around. He always comes back.

Can you imagine the willpower and self control it's taken for him to not come back and gloat over my despair and anguish at Saban's retirement?

This is too simple, but absolutely delicious: parmesan garlic porkchops.

2 rounded tablespoons of minced garlic (I use the minced garlic in oil you can buy at any grocery store)
1 cup of grated parmesan (add more if needed)

Mix the garlic & parmesan into a paste and batter a bunch of porkchops, then brown them on medium high.

That's it. The garlic & cheese forms a nice crust and the taste is phenomenal.

I've been on a Greek/Middle Eastern food kick lately. Had it 5 times in the past two weeks. I took my 13-year-old shopping yesterday and then to a nice Greek/Middle Eastern restaurant for her first time. We ordered three appetizers and four full meals, sampled a bit of everything, then took home three boxes of leftovers. Really good and my daughter loved all of it. Lunch today will be GOOD!

Nothing beats a late night, street-side cafe Doner. Difficult to find but impossible to forget!

I'm doing prime rib tomorrow, too. Throw it in the smoker, turns out great.

I got a shitload of shrimp to boil after we get off work in a couple hours. Gonna graze on peel n eats and drink tonight.
Also smoking a prime rib tomorrow. Ordered some post oak wood chunks. Makes it have a Texas brisket flavor to it.
