Been binge-watching these videos for two hours. They guy recreates (or improves upon) recipes from pop culture:

Might have to try his "Kevin's Famous Chili" rendition.

I'll hit you up for Cabot & the maple farm. The Magic Hat beers I've had have not been inspiring, why not get some Trillium or something?

Allagash is the gem from his neck of the woods.

Camp can run his mouth but on the last page of this very thread, he didn't know that Pepper Jack cheese was a type of cheddar. You fools need to meet me in Vermont, we'll hit up Cabot, Ben and Jerry's, Magic Hat, and a maple farm. Preferably on the same day.

If you go to Vermont and bypass Alchemist to go taste shitty magic hat beers you should be shot. I've spent a ton of time in Vermont and your suggestions sound like the kind of shit someone who would go on vacation by himself to Disney would recommend.

Poser.

Magic Hat was the first brand of craft beer I ever tried. Almost ruined it for me from the start.

Thankfully someone turned me onto Rogue beers at a tap takeover one night shortly thereafter.

Maine is basically Canada. I wouldn't call that "my neck of the woods." Two Roads is probably the closest brewery around here that anyone's ever heard of.

Dawg, that wasn't a "things I recommend" post, it was a "list of stereotypical shit to do in Vermont" post.

As to your Disney World comment...

Ha, NOoooo, I said I only like pepper jack cheese as far as ALL cheese goes, across the board... YOU took that as 'ACamp doesn't know what cheese is"

So good.

So good.

I don't have a formal recipe, but off the top of my head:

Four boneless pork loin chops
One medium onion, sliced
1/2 pint cherry tomatoes, halved
Goat cheese
Balsamic vinegar
Salt, pepper, crushed basil

Start reducing balsamic vinegar on low simmer in small pan
Season pork loin chops with salt, pepper, and crushed basil
Melt equal parts butter and olive oil in saute pan over medium-high heat
Cook one medium onion, sliced, in olive oil / butter
Remove onion and set aside
Cook pork in onion pan on medium-high heat, turning once (4-6 min per side)
Top pork with goat cheese and set aside
Quickly saute tomatoes. Return onion to pan with tomatoes and toss
Top goat cheese-covered pork with onions and tomatoes. Drizzle with reduced balsamic

Thanks Wiz.... here's what ours looked like. Tasted great.

Trying something new for dinner tonight.

Pressure Cooker Indian Butter Chicken Recipe from Pressure Cooking Today

My house is going to smell for a month but if this works, game changer.

Not the biggest Indian food fan but I'm always game for a change in perspective... let us know how it comes out.

We don't do much fried food at all but we all love Lumpia... so finally caved and got a cheap lil deep fryer this weekend for my daughter's B Day (not a present for her, she wanted a ton of Lumpia and my wife and I were like, let's just get a fryer)... how we ever fried Lumpia without this thing is already beyond me. Best purchase I've made in a while.

What model? I tried making fish and chips on the stove top last weekend and it was a miserable failure.

Just googled this. I now want it badly.

You don't get your fish & chips on Fridays from the local Knights of Columbus? Or is their fish all very mediocre? (It kinda is here, though the hush puppies are pretty sweet).

Without having it in front of me I THINK this is what we got:

Target : Expect More. Pay Less.

Super cheap but does the job well... it is small though (we only need it for Lumpia and maybe the occasional fried pickle). I'll bet you can upgrade the size for around 60 bucks or less and get what you need for fish n chips and slightly larger meals.

We can get beautiful fresh cod out here. It's a pleasure to cook yourself if you get it right.

Just hit up the Indiana food store for various curry ingredients. It smells bomb in there but nobody speaks English.

It's like Pancit noddles... if you don't know what they are the best way to describe it is Filipino Chow Mein, which doesn't do it justice at all... Lumpia has the same dynamic, the best way to describe them is Filipino egg rolls, but they are SOOO much better than your typical egg roll... Lumpia are one of my very fav party foods/snacks...

There is this great cheese steak place right down the street from my work. It's ran by a Korean family so they have a bunch of Korean fushion stuff there... my wife and I shared the bulgogi cheese steak...

It's exactly what it sounds like: KBBQ style bulgogi in K styled sauce, with onions, peppers and cheese... I had my half with a bunch of sriracha added. Dude... I'm in food heaven right now.

We're heading to Pensacola Beach tomorrow. One day we're driving over to Gulf Shores to eat at this place called Steamers. For $36 you get this huge tray of Reds, crab legs, shrimp, oysters, red potatoes and corn. Kicks ass.
