Local taproom where I live had some Trillium on tap. Had the Olmstead, Com Ave and Stillings. Really good. Super smooth, fluffy, not overly sweet and dry Hazy IPA’s. Top notch!

Spin on a whiskey sour.

3/4 oz ginger syrup
1 oz fresh lemon juice
1 oz fresh grapefruit juice
2 oz of bourbon
1 egg white

Shake with ice. Strain and serve with mint or sage garnish. Awesome.

Had Blantons finally this week on a date night with the wife,… 12 dollar doubles on the rocks which I thought was amazing for something I’ve had hyped to me that I had never even seen in person until that moment. It was very good.

Last night I polished off my Buffalo Trace and today I saw a bottle of Eagle rare for 40 bucks at the local liquor store so I jumped on it. Trace and Blantons seem more related to me than this Rare. The ER is just ok which is exactly what I thought when I tried it years ago.

Anyone here ever make mead? Got a kit for xmas and about to make my first batch.
Yes I make it a few times a year,… it’s fun but it needs to sit for months to a year before it’s any good.

I have a batch of blackberry and a batch of strawberry lemon in the closet,… both should be ready around May

Wife also got some fig mead from a Texas meadery for Xmas too

If you are looking for a bery good bourbon, try the Woodford Reserve masters collection. Its not easy to find and runs about $140/bottle, but its really good.

Edit: l personally like no. 19 the Sonoma triple finish or the historic barrel entry.

Sitting outside the condo in sunny Florida by the grill 😎. Drinking a Yuengling and getting ready to grill some bratwurst for pregame lunch.

I'm not a big drinker, but I've been in the mood for some bourbon lately. I'm not a bourbon expert... only really know Wild Turkey 101 and Maker's Mark. Any recommendations for something really good in that price range?

Just landed a 1.75L bottle of Weller Special Reserve. Haven’t been able to get any Weller for over two years.

Long branch, Buffalo Trace, Elijah Craig, yellow rose are all good options around that range

Edit: see I’m late but most agree,… four roses is a decent call too
