I do think it is time for some everyday summer scotches though. Time to grab a bottle of Old Pulteney 12 and maybe a Balblair aged in bourbon casks.

Though this one is really just gin......I did look at my extra dry vermouth but decided that it wasn’t needed.....the Hawkeye Pierce way.."You pour six jiggers of gin into a glass and then you drink it while staring at a picture of Lorenzo Schwartz, the inventor of vermouth."

Columbia Crest H3 Cabernet 2015. A touch sweet. Black cherry, ply and blackberry with a little vanilla and a hint of milk chocolate. I wish that it had a little more earthiness (tobacco, leather, etc.).

Let’s see how it pairs with food.

3:1 stirred with a lemon peel if it's gin.

No vermouth, shaken, no fine filter if it's vodka. I want my vodka martinis to look and feel like I just scooped a glass into the artic sea, with s thin layer of ice floating on top.

Had some Martin House Lemon Ice Box Sour,... really well done, basically a Lemon Meringue Graham Cracker Crust beer.

Followed that up with enjoy by 7-4-19, one of the better enjoy bus I’ve had.

Nose is raspberry and tart

Has a near champagne carbonation feel.

Strong raspberry flavor with a bit of tartness, hint of sweetness and a dry finish with hints of cherries.

Found a Martin House beer I don’t enjoy,... Depth Charge Hazy IPA is pretty bad( tastes like they took their bubblegum Gose base and tried to make an IPA out of it), couldn’t even finish it. Now having a firestone walker mind haze instead... much better
