Was expecting more from it...you?

It was a tale of two beers for me.

When I first poured it, there was really good juicy notes (peach, pineapple, mango, nectarine, and grapefruit) but after the first couple of minutes the juiciness faded and left a good but not great IIPA. I will probably have another bottle tomorrow night to make sure that my initial impression is accurate.

Eh, maybe? It wasn't immediately after, maybe like twenty minutes... You know me, I just like to include what foods I'm eating in my posts... Lol

A bomber of Sleepy Dog Wet Snout Stout.

Had better, had worse. It's too thin for me but it doesn't taste too bad.

Back in AZ but I've got a plant at Belching Beaver and Mother Earth in Vista so care packages will be forthcoming.

Also working with JD's at the Plaza Resort where ND Club of PHX has its game watches to improve their pours. There's no reason to have all three domestic Swill Lights on tap anymore. Even if Lagunitas is all they get, I will survive.

I'm friends with one of the owners at Sleepy Dog. They won't blow you away, but make decent beer.

I can at least thank him for creating my interest in craft beer. Before that, I was a Jim Beam with a Miller Lite back guy.

Is he a Regionite?

Met a friend for lunch and I had Stone Ruination 2.0 with vanilla beans and orange peel. I also had Stone Enjoy By Unfiltered 9/5/16 on draft to compare it to from the bottle.

Better on draft than bottle?

Jolly Pumpkin is a brewery not a pumpkin beer.

Also pumpkin beers still suck.

My go to still had a few bombers of select stuff until recently too... like many seasonal things, it's just not right until ____. Bottom line: I love Fall.

Seriously? Crazy. I thought it was crazy that Oktoberfest beers have been out for a couple weeks now.

I wish that I was kidding as I generally detest pumpkin beers and soon the special releases will be dominated by them instead of good beers.

Tonight I tried Great Divide's Titan IPA. I feel like I had heard decent things from someone at some point, and I wanted to try something outside of my usual rotation. But, um, this tastes like what I imagine the water in my dishwasher tastes like at the end of the cycle. I'm going to give the rest of this six pack to a homeless person on my way to work tomorrow.
