Damn you!!!!

I want some right now. I missed my local place who sold out in 20 minutes of posting it on Instagram.

At the local market today, saw bottles that looked familiar yet strange. Upon closer inspection, realized it was Alpine Hoppy Birthday, Duet and Nelson! Just got it in, oh what luck! Can't wait to have some.

New Belgium Salted Caramel Brownie Brown Ale. It isn't bad (not something I would regularly drink though) and I can definitely taste a little salt and some caramel. Hints of cocoa as well.

State Line IPA. It's a contract brew for Trader Joe's from Cottrell Brewing Company in Pawcatuck, CT. It's almost a clone of Sierra Nevada but at $6 for a six-pack, I may have found my new "cheap beer" go-to.

Out of curiosity what does Sierra Nevada go for up there? Here it is $7.50 a 6 pack of $12 for a 12 pack of Sierra Nevada Torpedo.

Lucky enough to have a friend hook me up with a case of Yuengling from over the border.

Your thoughts on it?

Love it. One of the few Saisons I can enjoy in the colder weather. It's got a nice aftertaste and a pleasant citrus/orange aroma.

Ommegang is my favorite brewery. Highly recommend all their beers.

I've had about 4 of their beers. I wasn't super impressed at first, but I was comparing them directly to Trappists (I'm not sure anybody lives up to that standard). I had the Abbey Ale by Ommegang the other day for the second time and was shocked by how much I liked it. Then again, I do love Belgian styles and it's getting a little cooler.

Now: SN Torpedo

Stone IPA. I haven't had this in a while but I saw some that were bottled on 10/27/15 and thought why not. Not as hoppy as I remember.

Yuengling IPL. It just tastes like a less malty version of the standard Yuengling. I barely got any hop flavor. Nothing special.

Alpine Nelson. Really good, reminds me a lot of the Stone Enjoy by series (minus the last one).
