Today with lunch I had Deschutes Fresh Squeezed IPA on tap. Really fruity (pineapple, mango, orange and grapefruit) and sweet. I really enjoyed it today.

Tonight with dinner I had 2010 Borsao "Tres Picos" Garnacha Campo de Borja. This is a great wine especially for about $15. At first it was a touch cold and I could only get some blackberry and raspberry but as it warmed it opened up and added flavors of herbs, licorice, pepper, and some cherry.

Edit: Honestly if you gave this to me blind and told me it was an entry level (price point wise) wine from Châteauneuf-du-Pape and sold for $30, I would completely believe you. Damn.

Blind Pig IPA. Russian River can do no wrong when it comes to IPA's. Citrus, hemp and smooth real dry finish.

Been meaning to try that. What'd you think? I'm a big fan of the standard Gulden Draak.

While I am not NDinMich, I do think that the standard Gulden Draak is better/more enjoyable then the 9000 but the 9000 is definitely worth trying.

Edit: Let me add, that Gulden Draak is a sold A (think 95ish) while the 9000 is more like an A- (more like 90-92).

More wine needs to be in this thread. I'm opening up a 2010 Riserva later tonight. I've always been a big fan of "value" wines. Sounds like you found a good one.

Even though pkt is not my proxy, he speaks like it. The 9000 is a damn good beer but I don't think it is better than Gulden Draak (and it's more expensive!). GD = 95, 9000= 92 imo.

That's why I haven't tried it. Seems strange that a special edition of such an awesome beer would earn lower ratings pretty much across the board.

Just slammed what I had left of my Yellowtail Moscato now onto some more Lipton Citrus Green Tea + Fireball concoction.

I'm going to have to come up with a name for it.

Had some Lumberyard Hefeweizen on tap today. Not a good beer but definitely drinkable.

One of my brothers was in San Diego last week and stopped by Coronado Brewing and bought me a growler. He won't tell me what beer he got, I have to try it and tell him which one I believe it to be. If I get it right it is free, if I am wrong I have to pay for it.

Miller Lite has started to be fashionable for young people to drink. Saw more Miller being drank on Saturday by my peers (21-25 years old) than before. Used to get made fun of for drinking it. I attribute it to the throwback can.
