I have tried a few over the years, and none have ever jumped out at me... I believe I have had Chub, but I'll pick it up soon to confirm, thanks for the suggestion.

If you can find any of the following, give 'em a try: (1) Founders' Backwoods Bastard; (2) Traquair House Ale; (3) Alesmith Wee Heavy; (4) Orkney's Skull Splitter; (5) Founders' Dirty Bastard; or (6) Old Chubb. Those are my favorites, in order.

You're going to have a camel walk around and ask her what day it is over and over?

Would that be a 20 year old Bactrian; brewed, twice distilled and then aged in date palm barrels, or a single malt Dromedary with hints of fig at the finish?

Or maybe a vintage movie set in Paris with a Notre Dame Cathedral sensibility?

(That last last wise ass wise crack was in reference to the original "Hump Day" quip, if I wasn't obvious, obstreperous or oblivious enough.)

It's both an honor and an education to get some sass mouth from dshans.

I tried flying Dog's Atlantic Lager. Perfectly drinkable, just not very impressive. It's a little too dry to be a really refreshing summer day brew.

"Slingin' Sass Since 1952."

It's a family business. I bring generations of sassiness to the table. We aim to skewer and displease ...

There's also a familial predilection to Spirits ... and I ain't talkin' Faeries, Banshees or Leprechauns.

Picked up a 64oz Growler of New Belgium LOF La Folie for $15 after a coupon. Considering that the 22oz bomber of it was going for $16, I would say that I got a good deal. Love me some sours.

Went to a few places tonight looking for something good, and struck out. Came home with cheap bourbon instead.

I've got some great beers in my fridge, but a persistent head cold has prevented me from enjoying any of them for the past few days. Can't taste a thing.

I bought a 12 pack of Sierra Nevada that contained four different IPA's.

Blindfold Black IPA
Torpedo Extra IPA
Snow Wit White IPA
Nooner Session IPA

I've had and really like Torpedo. Just now trying the Snow Wit, don't think I'm a fan.

Leinenkugel's Summer Shandy while doing yard work today. Three Philosophers from Brewery Ommegang is one of my go-to favorites too.

I tried some Bell's Oberon at a pub and it was a pretty decent beer. A little over-priced but I was in Alexandria, VA which is yuppieville USA.

What did you think of them?

I found the Nooner to be downright nasty while Blindfold and Snow Whit where ok but nothing that I would ever buy again.

I'm stuck with Miller Lite because I live in a backwards garbage state where I can't go to a liquor store to re-up tonight.

Just make sure you don't breathe close to the fire.

Watching the shjtfest , known as the Boston Red Sox , drinking a Dales Pale Ale . Bought a 12 pack and it is one of my " go to's " . The way this season is going I think I will drink it all .

Bucholz walked 8 through 3 and a third . Brutal .

Steaks are on the grill .

Happy Memorial Day folks .

Went with my get-drunk go-to beer in the pool today, none other than the glorious Rolling Rock.

Saving my Mt. Carmel Nut Brown Ale for later when I'm relaxing in the air conditioning.
