I had Victory Storm King Imperial Stout. Stouts just don't do it for me, no matter the type. Too creamy and soft but still too heavy to be a smooth sipper on a warm day. I tried some Yards Brawler. It was a weird combo of being bland and heavy. It made me think of drinking Coke that's gone flat.

A bomber of Stone Enjoy By 4/20/14. One absolutely wonderful beer. Not quite Nectar of the Gods but damn close.

Ten Fidy. Before that Matts Burning Rosids.

Such a great day for me. It's my 24th birthday, had an interview with a call back at a law firm, my friends took me out for 100 dollars worth of raw and baked oysters, then I got a birthday cake with presents delivered to my door.

That's an awesome day.

Got one today, but it was on the shelf and warm. So I'll give it a go tomorrow.

Tonight is Stochasticity Project Grapefruit IPA again. Love it.

I hosted a whiskey tasting last night where I work. On the menu:
Breuckelen 77 rye & corn
George Dickel Barrel Select
Tullamore Dew Phoenix
Green Spot

All very good and worth sipping while wearing a velvet smoking jacket (smoking jacket is optional, but it lets people know you're a classy dude).

Nice tasting, though I would personally pass on the velvet smoking jacket.

Went to Costco today and they had a 3 pack of 750ml bottles of Knob Creek on clearance for $50, which included
Knob Creek Small Batch
Knob Creek Single Barrel
Knob Creek Rye

Needless to say I feel like I got the better end of that deal.

So I had to open all three tonight.

Knob Creek Small Batch (normally $25): Pretty good and reasonably priced normally.
Knob Creek Rye (normally $35-40). Ok, definitely not a buy at the normal price
Knob Creek Single Barrel (normally $35-40): The best of the bunch and a very good bourbon, though I prefer a few others in this price range.

I have never had the Rye or the Single Barrel before and it has been a few years since I bought a bottle of the small batch.
Overall, I got a great bargain on some solid whiskies to drink this spring/summer.

Knob Creek rye is my go to rye, its priced pretty reasonably around here. But the rest of their line I don't like. I haven't had the small batch, though.

I had Sixpoint Hi-Res. DIPA isn't my type of beer, but this stuff was really good. It's a perfect spring day sipper, out on the balconey.

Bells Two Hearted Ale

Sadly, I am disappointed, as I had heard only good things about it and so I had decided to try it. Fairly bitter and not much other flavor seems to jump out. I didn't get through the whole thing and dumped it. $11 down the drain :(

Tequila straight?? My wife is hardcore with Patron and the like, but unless its Corzo I don't even think about it...

Me? Another night of strongbow, I am a cider fan

Don't Dump!

At the very least, reduce in a saucepan over medium/medium-high heat, add some orange juice and then toss in a few brats. Don't forget the 'kraut, diced onions and brown mustard.
