Thinking of grabbing a mixed six pack (or maybe 8) of Colorado beers for the Super Bowl. Here is the list under consideration currently.

Great Divide Titan IPA
Great Divide Yeti Imperial Stout
Oskar Blues Dale's Pale Ale
Oskar Blues Mama's Lil Pils
Odell Easy Street American Pale Wheat Ale
Odell Cutthroat Porter
Left Hand Milk Stout
Ska Modus Hoperandi IPA

I was thinking of grabbing 2 Oskar Blues, 2 Odell's, and 1 each of Ska and Great Divide (if I go with six, if 8 well it then becomes the wild wild west). None of these beers would be new for me (well besides Odell Run Off Red IPA which I already have in my fridge). Also I would probably only want to go with 1 porter/stout overall. Recommend away.

If going 8, I would swap in Mama's Lil Pils for Oskars and go with the above. Shitz... I might do this too.

Tried a glass of Rough Draft's Barrel-Aged Emboozlement Tripel recently. It was very boozy (surprise!), juicy and fruit forward. Not bad, but probably wouldn't order it again.

Apparently Buffalo Trace is struggling mightily to meet demand; W.L. Weller has been unavailable for months, and according to some neckbeard who works at TotalWine, that's likely to be status quo for a while. So I picked up Old Fitzgerald instead-- an inexpensive ($16) wheated bourbon I've been meaning to try. Made a great Old Fashioned-- couple dashes of orange bitters, a splash of simple syrup, and a Tovolo King cube.

Tried Surly CynicAle this weekend. Weirdly delicious beer. Not sure I've had anything quite like it, with the honey and the pepper notes. I wish they'd have dialed up the hops a bit though.

Surly is just outstanding. If you haven't tried Furious, Wet (seasonal), or Abrasive, do yourself a favor and grab a 4 pack of each. That will turn up the hops.

Haha, yep, I've had Furious and Abrasive, not sure about Wet, and I agree, those are killer beers for any hophead.

Killing the Stone Enjoy By Growler tonight. Starting to get a little flat but still very enjoyable.

I went to Total Wine looking to grab a sixer of porter. They were out of my first, second, and third choices. There's either a run on porter happening or TW just sucks at restocking their inventory. I wound up with Old Dominion Baltic Porter, which is OK, but I would've liked something better.

I went to pick up the beer for the Super Bowl and instead I came home with another growler of Stone Enjoy By 2/14/14, a six pack of Hopslam and a 4 pack of Goose Island Bourbon County Stout. That did not go as planned.

AZ has Hopslam?

For local brew Tuesday, SanTan Sex Panther Double Chocolate Porter. Pretty good but not special. Some cocoa nibs, coffee and vanilla.
