Ommegang Gnomegang. Pretty good beer, taste has some sort of spice to it. Makes up for the banana smell (not a fan of banana smell).

I tried a Fat Tire Amber Ale. It was decent, good flavor, went down easy. Nothing special, just a drinkable beer.

Last night, had a Unibroue beer called Quatre Centieme. Thought it was just ok.

Tonight, had a double IPA from Three Heads Brewery called Too Kind. Thought that this one was just all right too. Probably won't be buying either of these two beers again though.

I had a can of New Belgium Brewing Co. Pale Ale. I really did not like it. I would have thought that I wouldn't like a pale ale because it was weak and tasteless, but this stuff had a persistent sour finish to it. I needed a nice, refreshing beer after the day I had and this wasn't it. I'm glad I didn't pay for it because drinking this beer was a chore.

After a long day today, it is time to relax with one of the best beers of all time.

Russian River Supplication. If you see it buy it. Definitely a top 10 beer for me, maybe a top 5.

That is horrible. Hopefully you had something nice and refreshing afterwards.

I find it hard to purchase new beers at times because of this... We've all been there and nothing ruins a day like looking forward to a good beer, spending ten or so bucks on a sixer of something that sounded interesting and then struggling to get through the first one...

I tend to buy what I know... With that said I have some Boston Lager tonight... Always a "solid" beer

This is why I'm a big fan of places that let you mix and match your own six-pack. Great way to try new beers with minimal risk.

Just found these on reddit:

The problem with mix-and-match six packs, in my experience, is the mark up you'll pay. At Total Wine, they charge you for 6 times the most expensive bottle you get, per the single bottle price. I think they should charge for the most expensive beer's six pack price. It could be the difference between paying $12 or $8.

This.

Also I consider myself a connoisseur and try a single new beer at BevMo and such often enough... But I can't say I have had a single beer on that list of wiskeys... Mainly because I've never heard of or encountered any of them... The beer boom in this country over the past twenty or so years is pretty crazy.
