Big throw by Dayne there. He can definitely chuck it. Needs to be more consistent, which is hard to ask of him considering his whole career has been anything but consistent for him.

of all his redzone turnovers, this one at least came on a really good defensive play. helmet right on the ball. Jesus though, does this guy have a cannon or what?

He's their sideline reporter. I did a double take last week when I saw his name down in the lower left corner.

Very cool. Ya I just looked up what he has been up to and I guess he got started in broadcasting in the MWC then to ESPN radio and now with FOX Sports. Oh he is already better than more than half of the sideline reporters out there. Wasn't fumbling with his words, very well spoken and didn't ask the dumb questions other reporters love to annoy coaches and players with. NBC sign him up! Flannigan to the booth and Hammond back to the crypt lol!

Kansas today looked a lot like ND during the Weis years ... racking up yards but not necessarily points. I remember watching ND under Weis and thinking that something was broken with our offense but not quite knowing what. Had the same feeling watching KU today.

Disappointing overall. I was really hoping to see Dayne start looking like a real quarterback today. I'll say that there were a few plays where his receivers could have helped him out and didn't, but still ... wish he could find a way to get into the end zone.

KU can run the ball. Can Dayne throw?

77 yds rushing??? 303 passing

I love that clip. Let me revise...

Can Dayne throw consistently? He's currently hitting on 52.5% (against South Dakota State and Rice).

19/39 today, 48%.

... wish he could find a way to get into the end zone.

... with the ball.

NCAA College Football Recap - TCU Horned Frogs at Kansas Jayhawks - Sep 15, 2012 - CBSSports.com

Dayne Crist led the Jayhawks (1-2, 0-1) with 303 yards passing, but he was also intercepted once, fumbled as he was heading into the end zone in the fourth quarter, and missed several third-down throws that prevented Kansas from capitalizing on the TCU turnovers.

Weis offenses averaged something like 30ppg, unfortunately we gave up 35.

It doesn't really need to be said, but I'll say it anyhow: Former Sherman Oaks (Calif.) Notre Dame five-star quarterback Dayne Crist is a major bust. At first I gave him the benefit of the doubt because of his injuries (torn ACL and ruptured patella tendon at Notre Dame) but now that's no longer an excuse. He had his moments in South Bend under Charlie Weis and showed some promise, but now that he's with Weis at Kansas, he's brutal. This shows how interesting it is to rank quarterbacks. In 2008, the top nine pro-style quarterbacks were Blaine Gabbert (stud), Crist (dud), Mike Glennon (more stud than dud), Andrew Luck (stud), Star Jackson (dud), Landry Jones (stud), Jacory Harris (dud), Jordan Jefferson (dud) and Tyler Wilson (stud).

Dayne looks okay at times and really bad other times. Missed some wide open receivers, a couple of times with nothing but green in front of them.

It makes me sad.

Kansas ball on their own 13 2:34 to play.

1st Crist pass DROPPED
2nd Crist sacked for 7 back to the 6. Holding declined by NIU (Sounds like Dayne and Charlie are both still in South Bend.)
3rd Crist screen pass incomplete
4th Incomplete

NIU ball on downs.
