If we lose it might be the CFL bus.

Good point. We will be sleep walking in one of the biggest games of the year in college football. Hey stache boy, you fkn hear me? Joe will be on that stupid phone trying to get help on which gap to fill, meanwhile the slant play is run and successful 29 out of 30 times. Someone should light a ton of candles for these boys.

Week 7 Prediction Poll (USC @ ND)

The thing that gets me is we always seem to get the ball first (although not always our choice), and go 3 and out, flipping the field and playing from behind from a momentum standpoint. I would love nothing more than to see them get the ball first do nothing with it for 3 plays.

*How many opening drive TDS have we had the last 2 years when receiving? I would put the over under at 1.5.

ND wins with last possession.

I am seriously concerned if ND starts slow...as usual, that USC goes crazy. If this goes the way of Clemson this thing could get ugly early.

I think it is pretty common knowledge that w/o pressure on Kessler, he'll kill the ND secondary. So I suspect USC will expect ND to be stunting/blitzing, and try and check into dump offs and running plays based on NDs tendencies/alignments. I expect a couple big runs in the first quarter. Then I expect ND to try to play straight up on the line, and USC to shift to the aerial attack we are all expecting. At that point, we will settle into everbody's true identities.

I think the corners each get torched a couple times, but someone like Farley comes up big. ND secondary gets two INTs. Wins...Barely. Win dismissed as beating a team in turmoil.

Concerned about the Irish secondary holding their own against the U$C passing attack. I feel the Irish hold on though in a nail biter to the end .... ND 31 USC 27.

Like others have stated ND's secondary hasn't looked very good and USC will exploit that. Unfortunately I see a 30-20 USCUM win.

This is pretty much how I feel. I think we'll score our points but our defense must adjust earlier and get the stops before it's too late.

I see some screens, draws and dump offs giving us fits early. There is no way BVG can stop himself from sending the house early and often.

I think for once we start out fast, and will match the intensity of the other team. BK will have a good script of plays for DK, and will will be bringing in a lot of sub-packages they(USC) haven't seen on film.

USC will start pressing on offense, and our defense will pin back their ears and attack. Our secondary will have a great game - silencing the critics.

I will be leisurely drinking bourbon while watching our 2nd team play in the 4th quarter.

ND 42 -28.

I think BK is out for revenge from last year's game a la Michigan 2014. I don't expect a shutout, but I get the feeling that the game won't be in doubt.

Lots of doubt from everyone here. I'm nervous, no doubt, but if we don't spot USC 14 ala Clemson, I think we will control this game and pull away late.

I agree w/ LAX about the untimeliness of the SARK firing. We would have been 10 times better had he been on the sidelines given the state that team has been in for the past few weeks. Now, the wagons have circled moral is probably at an all time high. When a cancer is removed, the arrow has no choice but to move up.

The soft coverage by our secondary will get us eaten alive in this game, and while I do like BVG, IMO, he knows the shortcomings of everybody on the team and tries to mask them by being aggressive. USC will exploit the hell out of that. Sheldon Day and Tillery will put pressure on Kessler, but with our soft coverage, it won't matter. The ball in any UCS receivers hands is scary as hell.

Our LB's actually worry me just as much as our secondary because they have not played well together aside from Texas (including Jaylon...).

Offensively though, I think we take it to them. CJ will have 150+ and Chris Brown will kill them in the middle. As long as our redone offense puts TD's on the board instead of FG's, we will win in a shootout, pulling away late.

Either way, I am already prepared for watching every single snap of the game and not having any nails left by the end. Knowing ND football, it will be likely be entertaining for 4 full quarters. Its crazy how 80-90% of every game watched practically goes to the very end to feel confident in the "W".

GO IRISH!!

Hope the night game scares away the blue-hair ticket holders and the stadium is electric. This has to be a win...for the year and the 15 + recruits we have in town. Still looking for our corners to have that "big game"...maybe tomorrow. Those skill players scare the heck out of me but not like in the days of Reggie Bush and company.

I'm really flip-flopping right now. Woke up this morning thinking USC would win. Had some coffee, went back to an Irish victory. Watched Desmond Howard suggest Mike Tomlin coach USC, got dumber listening to him, and went back to USC. I have no idea what I think will happen.

Come gameday, I need think we'll lose. However, this was essentially the week for me. Everybody I talk to says easy win but I just can't get my head around that, too much offensive talent for USC.

I'm going with 31-27 ND win!
