I know the Irish have some terrible 'hype' moments. But that is

I chose the 19+pts slot, with the idea that we might win by 3 1/2 touchdowns, despite Coach often taking his foot off the gas.

UMass seems to do exactly one thing very well: their QB slinging it to a receiver named Sharpe. Who knows how really good those two are, but it's hard for me to believe that Russell and Luke won't generally shut that down. If they do, and the QB is forced to hesitate and look elsewhere for the first time, who knows how bad it could become?

I hope BVG takes a page out of Belichik's playbook and runs bracket coverage on their #1. Put a safety over top and a CB under man and just take Sharpe away. See if they are able to change the game plan.

All of UMASS points come during garbage time. CJ racks up 200 yards.... more than all of UMASS combined.

I'm still not picking ND to blow anyone out this season. This should be a game that is over by halftime, if not sooner. Physically and athletically they don't match up with us anywhere. We are bigger, stronger, and better coached(!).

That being said, these are the kind of games where the opposing QB looks like some hybrid of Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers and some decent WR balls out and looks like the offspring of Jerry Rice and Randy Moss so who knows.

Umass i believe will try to take advantage of our safeties. I do think our D-line will get good pressure that will make their QB make some big mistakes. But our secondary is not what i expected it to be.
