According to multiple sources, I'm hearing #USC is close to announcing Clancy Pendergast its new defensive coordinator.

Good hire for them. Has done well in both the college game and pros. We'll have to wait and see this affects the USC's defensive recruits currently wavering (or uncommitted).

I'm fully aware. But Matt Leinart taking "Ball Room Dancing" as his only class for a semester backs my point about football players there. See figure 1 below.

To me it shows how much in season performance doesn't matter if you have ace recruiters. USC took an uber talented team and had the worst year ever for a #1... doesn't matter because they have two of the best salesmen in the world. ND has Alford and that's really it... yeah, we have a really good class but you have to wonder what kind of hauls we cold have with guys like Tosh or Orgeron or Kiffin.
