247 thinks with the way he talked about ND yesterday that we have a great shot if we don't get Kiel

I'd prefer Fuller over Kiel, not as a QB but as an overall player. I don't think QB is a huge need anymore after seeing what Hendrix can do.

What are the chances that Fuller would stay at QB? Has it been promised to him by Kelly?

EDIT: never mind, saw HTCI's post, that's what I was assuming

Pitch QB to get him to sign. Give him a shot when he gets on campus. If it doesn't work out, show him the DB / Slot depth chart.

His interest is directly correlated to having a shot at QB

Which, in all honesty, I think he should be offered as a QB

His highlite tape is mostly him breaking off big runs, but from the limited clips he looks to have a decent delivery that could be worked with.

When does his senior highlite film come out?

Something like Jan. 29th or something like that.

A local high school where I am played against them in states. He is one of the best pure athletes I have ever seen in person, but I'm a little unsure about him at quarterback. He can throw the ball wonderfully, but he seems more run first pass second. Would love to see him at ND! Can never have enough NJ athletes!

If you haven't watched his highlights yet I highly suggest you do.

The throw at 2:04 ....

Looks like their play calling was using him as a running back more than a passer. Can't blame them, why wouldn't you?

He made some nice throws too. Looked plenty strong and pretty accurate at distance. These are junior highlights, he only got better since.

Santa, I want to change my list!

if he is on the field with Golson/Hendrix then our QB problems are bigger than I thought

Going forward, I don't think there will be just one QB to lead the team. BK isn't afraid of using multiple QBs throughout a game. Why not have two of them that can/run throw as a set package, on the field at the same time?

This kid has so much potential and i personally love a dual threat QB.
Stats per 247
Player RuYDRuTD PaYD PaTD Int
Fuller 1326 17 2247 20 9
Kiel 427 12 2517 28 4
and to compare with a dual threat QB the top per 247
Winston 1063 15 2424 28 2

agreed....BK has shown that he likes 2 QBs but I was never sure if that was out of necessity or was his preference. Golson appears to be the best passer of any of the QBs so it will make for a fun spring anyway.

I definitely want this kid as I see his potential being off the charts. He really plays like a Denard that can pass......and Denard has carried his team to the BCS. With our supporting lineup the kid could be awesome.

I still think that Golson will be the QB after spring but it would be nice to have this kid on the field. I say if he wants to be a coach then we offer him as a coach....whatever position he wants we should offer and let the field sort it all out.

For those debating his speed vs. Denard... he is as fast or faster. Denard ran a 4.48 laser timed coming out of high school (even though Michigan fans would have you believe he runs a 4.2) and Devin Fuller runs a reported 4.4. As an overall athlete, Fuller is rated much higher than Denard was coming out of high school (both were evaluated as athletes).

I really wish I had so full game film of Devin not just highlights... because he has a quirky throwing motion but holy cow can he fly... if he improves his mechanics, he could absolutely destroy as a college QB. If he can't, I fear he might have a lot of accuracy issues on short/intermediate routes.

In short, he would be a better version of Denard.

I would rather take him vs. Gunner. He seems like he would fit the BK offense better. Between him, Golson, and Hendrix Bk should be able to find one that would pan out.

Watched his tape again...WOW! Kid would be a stud at DB if he wanted to.

Of course he could, but he is wayyy too dynamic with the ball in his hands to not have him on offense.

Personally, I think he ends up at Arizona after Rich Rod pitches him on being Pat White out there.

IF ND misses on Gunner tomorrow and IF he doesn't OV to Arizona I could totally see ND being a major player.

On ESPN's sports science, they said Denard runs a 4.32.

That may or may not be accurate to what he runs now. It's very possible he has gotten faster or coached to run a better 40 time.

I'm saying coming out of high school the fastest he was ever listed was a 4.4 and the combine he ran at clocked him at a 4.48 (which is what's listed on his Rivals profile).
