Tigerdroppings still convinced he called LM on his hunting trip and told him.
Of course now the time table has changed and he will now announce on Monday.
Other than that I guess no news is good news.

Yep.... BK needs to give Crean a call. Unfortunately, I think the early dis-interest from ND will come back to bite us now. I believe we could have locked him down early had we made him a priority..... Hope not, but don't have a good feeling here. If it happens, great, if not, bring on Devin Fuller!!! Tremendous playmaking skills.

Nothing is official until it is reported from Gunner's mouth or posted on public blast by one of the recruiting services. Right now neither of those have happened.

Internet chatter does suggest/is suggesting that he has committed/will be committing to LSU and announcing on Monday. But we all saw how that "smoke" worked out for ND.

So is there anything else besides some LSU poster claiming with certainty that Gunner called Les while Les was hunting that he's going to play for LSU? Is that the only reason why we assume he's going to LSU? I just wonder how some poster would get that info.

If he doesn't commit today, I think that helps us greatly because of all the smoke surrounding the LSU situation. However, I still think its anyone's guess where he goes, if he actually committed on the hunting trip I believe there would be more official rumors out, none of the major sites are saying anything.

Who would know if he called L Miles on his hunting trip unless he was on the hunting trip with him? Les Miles himself is not allowed to comment on any recruit or it would be a NCAA violation. This does not make a sense.

IMO, if he chooses LSU, that does not prove any of the rumors were true. He clearly stated, after they started, that he still had not picked.

Folks,
EVERBODY, do yourseld and all of us a favor. STOP any guessing, rumors, banter, or overall projecting about this kids comitment or not. NOBODY knows what is happening with him, including Gunner.

I am much more interested in what happens with our DB, RB and WR recruiting. Those are much more important for 2012. ND has 3 QB's going into next season. Two guys that most off us are really excited to see compete. Golson and Hendrix could be special.

Let Gunner figure it out for himself. If he commits great. If not, I will not lose any sleep and neither should anyone else. ND needs players at other positions much more.

According to Vandy sources on Twitter Kiel cut Vanderbilt from his list and is down to ND and LSU.

Considering the amount of interest in this kid, do you all think Kiel comes in and solves ND's QB issues right away. Because unless he's good enough to start right away I don't see what all the hype is about.

Because anytime arguably the best QB in the nation has you in his top 2, the hype is deserved. Who knows if he comes in and contributes right away, or if he contributes at all, but it's exciting that someone with so much potential and talent is so closely considering ND.

Those same guys are saying that Scout.com suggests the guy is legit and also received the phone call. This one might be all done tonight boys...

i understand we dont have any valid sources, but man its a buzz kill.. just makes you wonder.. wherever he may go..we still have many postions in need and were sitting pretty with plenty of top guys..wright, shumate, russell, etc...i would like to see gunner as much as most of you in an ND uni.. BUT HE WILL NOT MAKE OR BREAK THIS CLASS...BK n crew have done an great job thus far..
