I think they probably have at least two players and maybe up to four that are currently committed that don't end up at USC.

The later they decommit the better. Hopefully they have 4 that flip the week of signing day.

I heard that Vanderdoes visited UCLA two days ago.

.... he's a DT of the jumbo style. [Diaco! Hint hint....stay out in California and have a little talk]....

USC_Athletics: USC assistant coach Monte Kiffin has resigned effective after the bowl game to pursue opportunities in the NFL.

Excellent, it's official. Now let's pray that they pass Orgeron over for the job, he gets pissed and leaves, and their class falls apart.

I'm told it's possible.

Fat Ed is a recruiter, not a coordinator.

Yep. Some people think he wants the DC job though.

(By some people I'm referring to ALLGATOR.)

On second glance, he could get it. But I think it would be a mistake. Let him focus on recruiting and being fat.

Darreus Rogers, who didn't qualify last year, is being added as a 2013 signee now that he has apparently gotten his crap together academically. Explains the timing of the Eldridge Massington kick to the curb.

If it wasn't this it would have been something else. But you might be right on the timing.

Schrader of USC's 247 site is saying that the Trojans are likely to get commitments from both Leon McQuay and A'Shawn Robinson after their visits this weekend. That would put them one player over the limit, according to him.

Several of their current commits are taking late visits, like Jason Hatcher and Nico Falah. Hatcher is even taking visits after his USC OV ... don't they ask all commits to save USC the last visit?

Also, according to Tunnel Vision Ty Isaac is still not totally sold on USC--but his mom is resisting the idea of decommitting.

Crazy how unsettled things are for USC this late in the game. I feel like they could have several decommits and snag several new guys.

Are you kidding me? They could land A'shawn Robinson to go with their already ridiculous DT haul of Vanderdoes and Bigelow? With no DC on the staff?

Ed O and Kiffin work some ridiculous black magic sometimes....

It seems like this was always the plan. They want the last visit so they know where they stand and know if they need to sign another top player or not.

Hatcher can come to Florida.

maybe the U$C staff knows one of those guys wont end up there, but instead go to a rival school that happens to be playing in the big game this year. :)

Sometimes it bothers that USC is able to pull recruiting miracles even when then are having a medicore season.

Heck ND had a better season last year than USC had this year. Yet after losing to Standford and FSU to close things out ND lost out on all their targets during strech runner with exception of Devonte Neal and Gunner. Plus they lost Darby, Greenberry, and Tee Shepard (granted he did EE just couldn't hang).

Those were not the right guys last year. Insurance policy hangers on, lo qualifiers.

After three or four years at the top ND will have the bona fides to haul them in any given year. But during last year ND was 0 for 20, with the kids . . .

#1 QB, #1 ATH... lost a track guy to FSU, two crazy stories that are still unknown in Tee and Greenberry and Decker to his favorite team with UM as the head coach... we did just fine last year considering.

On guy that was right on this and I really dispise him is @adamgorney. West recruiting analyst for Rivals.com and Yahoo! Sports. Said about a month ago that USC's class(as it was at the current time) will not look like this at the end.

Yeah if they get Vanderdoes back, A'Shawn Robinson, McQuay/Goodman...it might be better.

Honestly, this kind of thing sounds like us last year when we were like "if we keep Tee and Darby and add Yuri Wright or Brian Poole it'll be even better!"

FWIW there are rumors of Bigelow having issues passing admissions as an EE (from that fraud Eastern Christian this isnt surprising), Vanderdoes decommitted, Robinson is hardly a lock... so they could just as easily go 0/3 as 3/3. Then you factor in Ramsey, LaRue, and all of the others wavering its really hard to imagine them ending up with a "better" class than they had a couple weeksand ago.

And McQuay might not even be a lock according to some people... no doubt their class wiill stiill be good with headliners like Cravens and Browne but there were people out there who actually said this would be the best recruiting class "ever" and its clearly nowhere close to that.
