We would all be calling for Brain Kelly's head if our defense and offense played like USC's has with all of that talent. Arizona State, in the grand scheme of things, is not a great team with the injuries they've had this year.

Minnesota is awful and lost to USC by 2. Utah, who is pretty solid, was a blocked field goal away from beating USC. If we can establish the running game and not give up big plays through the air I don't see USC putting up a lot of points.

I believe if Utah had made the field goal they would have tied the game.

USC is better than ASU, but like ND in the first two games turned the ball over 3 times in or near the red zone. When USC/ND come together, it should be a pretty interesting game. If the vegas lines were making the line I say ND is favored by 3.5. Too close to call at this pont considering the inconsistent play by both teams. I still think our team should win considering we have the better defensive line but you never know. Turnovers and BIG plays should decide the outcome.

I'm waiting to see any deep ball where our safeties are actually over the top. Everytime I see a deep ball I see our safeties in chase mode. It's ridiculous.

I agree w the premise of beating more undefeated teams etc. but I prefer U$C loses all of their games so the perspective of recruits is that they want nothing to do w a sinking ship captained by Lame Kitty. Any day Trojans lose is a good day in my book.

I'm waiting to see any deep ball where our safeties are actually over the top. Everytime I see a deep ball I see our safeties in chase mode. It's ridiculous.

Or when they are in good position, they don't make a play on the ball.

Watching the USC game, the defense is a lil better than average. They are not very physical and play as individuals. The O-line is very poor and the run game is almost non existent. Barkley has no time to throw and forces a lot of things trying to make plays. They have talented receivers.

It will be interesting to watch how they play next week after this loss. If ND cleans up the mistakes they should win comfortably. This will be the first time in a long time where ND SHOULD own the trenches on both sides.

The SC of the past owned the trenches, watching the game last night I saw a lot of issues on both sides of the lines. Also, this kid Robly (sp?) I think we could exploit the crap out of him. And the safety TJ (SC version) over pursues and gets out of position to make the big hit.

I would normally agree, but Kiffin is such a bad coach I really hope we stomp them every year we play them and USC plays average football every year...just good enough that Kiffin hangs around for awhile maybe.

I too hope he stays around just to mire in mediocrity. I just want that school (and I use that term loosely) to lose all luster from a perspective of potential recruits. I agree that it would be great for the schools on our schedule we typically don't go head to head w in recruiting run the table on their schedule before and after we play them, but I would love Stanford, $C, Michigan and even MSU to get crushed more frequently than they do now. If recruits don't like seeing bad ball and lots of losses for us, you know it applies to those "schools" as well.
