I'll be honest, I grew up an enormous North DaKota State fan. My biggest qualm as a kid was if I'd be the QB for NDSU or for Notre Dame.

I went to NDSU. And slowly really started to hate the football program. They take kids who can't qualify at FBS schools and feed them into University studies and hold their hand (give them A's for classes they don't show up for ).

They are a wannabe football school who honestly represents the anti-Notre Dame. I'm happy for about 5% of the fans. When I grew up, me and my dad would be in a dome with 10-12,000 people falling asleep.

They win a JV football championship and suddenly all these people start taking NDSU themed wedding pictures, Christmas cards, etc. People who you couldn't give away tickets to are suddenly talking shit to me about how (even though I still was cheering for ndsu) I cheer for a bunch of losers at ND.

It is pretty sad I was hoping Iowa would pound NDSU into the ground...but I can't cheer for them. I've tried....just can't do it.

@Iowa isn't cherry picking. Kansas, Iowa St, Colorado, Wash St, Ore St, Minnesota, Illinois, Purdue, Indiana, Kentucky, Vandy, a third of the ACC, the entire MWC minus Boise... all of those would have been cherry picking when this game was contracted. In fact, they sought out the toughest regional game they could schedule. Guaranteed if they called Nebraska the Huskers didn't return the call.

You can complain about who they sign, what the academics are about and how the fans are bandwagons but you being a grad makes this the weirdest sour grapes story I've ever heard. They have won 5 straight NC's. They are the most successful sports program in the country at their level or higher. Have a little pride in your bro's, bro.
