It's really too bad that IU is so bad because Coleman has had a special year. +1900 rushing yards is incredible

Coleman was my Heisman favorite for a while. Once Sudfeld got hurt the opposition could just put 9 in the box and stop the run.

This game's a lot closer than I expected. We finally woke up, but it's a long way from over.

Sad commentary when Bama/ Auburn, a game where not a single player can pronounce the word 'the' and where every player, especially black players, are totally exploited without being given a real education, is celebrated as 'the' cfb game but Duke/Wake Forest, a game where real students excel is completely ignored and laughed at... America's priorities, yet again.

LOL! ACamp, Bama has produced more Academic All-Americans over the past 7 years than any other CFB program in the country. We understand that you have a real hatred for Bama, but don't let it blind you and cause you to say silly stuff.

Spot on ACamp...this has frustrated me for a long time and it's not getting any better. It's getting worse in fact.

This is false. Steelhead University does. I just granted a bunch of random people that distinction. My criteria for selection was just as, if not more, valid than UA's.

A 4.0 there rivals a certificate in "Tape Deck Repair" from Sally Struthers Correspondence School.

I'm struggling to find a list. All I've seen so far is that Greg McElroy and Barrett Jones were both selected, and I won't debate them. But that's just two players. What other football players were on the list? What were their majors?

ND just claimed 95 more national titles and just sent in papers for 98 academic all Americans despite having less than 98 total players....

UA, nor any other school, names its own AAA's. They're selected by recognized org's such as the College Sports Information Directors of America or Capital One, just like All-Americans, and they take into account how difficult a player's major is and the academic rigor of the school. In other words, you can't become an AAA by earning a 4.0 in general studies at an academically weak school.

I saw a list of all the Academic All-Americans for CFB sometime earlier this year and Bama had either 7 or 8 over the past 7 years, more than the next two schools combined. I can't put my finger on the list, but if you'll give me a day or so, I'll run it down.

In a related note, I was at a big family get together a few months ago. Some guy (Not part of the family, no idea who he was) was at the party and watching the 'Bama game against Florida. 'Bama made a big play, and the guy was pulling on my shoulder saying "Watch this, you gotta see this!" I kind of scratched my head and just said "Dude, it's Florida, and they're 'Bama." I don't think he heard a word I said. The next thing that came out of his mouth was "I hope my grand kids go to a southern school for their education someday." I was like....wtf? Not that you can't get a great education at any school, far from it...just seemed like a very odd statement, especially given the context and the fact this guy was elderly and living in Ohio.

In the end, I decided the guy was a prick, since he complained to my grandmother that I flipped the channel to check some other scores while the guy was eating dinner in the other room. What a baby, it wasn't even his house! He was lucky we had a bye week that week, otherwise that TV would have been mine.
