It is funny to me that Iowa State has had mediocre quarterback play for the last few years and totally missed on a kid in their own backyard. Jake Waters won a State Championship in Iowa, and put up numbers. Kid played a about a mile down the road from me, and was really good. He wasn't even offered a walk on spot at Iowa State and decided to play at Iowa Western Community College, which has been a powerhouse in the junior college league since their inception a few years ago.

He moved on to set records and win championships at IWCC, and then was offered a spot at KSTATE. He is now the starting quarterback and wins against a team that didn't think he was good enough to sniff their players jocks. Good on him.

As someone who goes to an FCS school.... Eastern Washington has a very good offense for the level of football.... Doesn't hurt that their FBS games are regularly against west coast schools who.... Let's be honest... Aren't defensively minded.

They'll crash out in the quarters or semi finals of the FCS playoffs as usual.
